Repeated removal of maintenance templates

edit

The user PepeBonus has repeatedly removed the copyedit template (Template:Copyedit) from both this and Stray Kids' other articles. I understand templates atop articles you have created or substantially contributed to is not desirable but it points out an issue the article has. This article has, in places, almost verbatim copies of Korean media's silly write-ups on each track trying to make each song's lyrics or "message" (which usually boils down to "believe in yourself"/"forget the haters" or is a love song) sound really important with 10 different genre "influences" on each song. K-pop is well known for being a "hybrid genre" that takes a bunch of different, mostly Western music genres and blends them into one track—this is not unique to Stray Kids or any one K-pop act. Leaving that aside, in other places the prose is unnecessarily verbose or overwritten when describing a fairly basic concept.

I see no point in attempting to substantially copyedit the article myself because PepeBonus' regular edits to this article and other Stray Kids articles has shown any improvement I make will be overwritten or just added onto. Until an editor experienced in copyediting (read: not me) comes and works on this article (hopefully somebody from WP:GOCE), the template should stay. Maintenance template documentation explicitly states to not remove the template until the problem is fixed, and I still see a problem (of varying degrees) with the grammar here and on other Stray Kids articles. I have explicitly filed a request for somebody from the WP:GOCE to copyedit Noeasy and Oddinary. @PepeBonus: Until and unless they do copyedit the articles, stop removing the maintenance templates. I have already informed an admin as I have asked then warned you multiple times and you have ignored me. Ss112 06:08, 5 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
