The result of the move request was: Move to Death of Ryan Poston. There's near-unanimous consensus that the present title is inappropriate. Two main replacements were suggested with about equal support; I'm going with "Death of..." as the most neutral and basic. This can be revisited if developments occur in the story. Murder of Ryan Poston → Alleged Murder of Ryan Poston – This article should be moved to Alleged Murder of Ryan Poston. The conviction in this case was overturned, Shayna Hubers is therefore presumed innocent at this time. She is claiming self defense, if that defense is sustained, Poston's death will not be legally considered to be a murder, therefore murder is only alleged. There will be a new trial, and given the preeminence of Wikipedia, an article calling his death a murder instead of an alleged murder could be prejudicial to the trial. - Would Death of Ryan Poston be a better title? Iffy★Chat -- 13:58, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
- Comment That would probably be the eventual title if Hubers is acquitted. It might make sense to go ahead and move it to that. XeroxKleenex (talk) 00:46, 8 August 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose the conviction was overturned on a technicality עם ישראל חי (talk) 19:17, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
- Comment Which still means that it was technically overturned, and that still technically makes calling it murder instead of alleged murder technically potentially defamatory. It can always be moved back if Hubers is convicted. XeroxKleenex (talk) 19:20, 8 August 2018 (UTC)
- if anything it should be changed to Killing of Ryan Poston alleged murder of makes it like he may not be dead and death of makes it like he died when he was actually killed whether its murder or not עם ישראל חי (talk) 20:18, 9 August 2018 (UTC)

- Support moving to Death of Ryan Poston on WP:BLPCRIME grounds. Should a future trial support the allegation of murder, we could then move it back to its current title. Valenciano (talk) 20:27, 8 August 2018 (UTC)
- Support move to Killing of Ryan Poston. He was definitely killed by another party, the only question appears to be whether it was justifiable under law. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 22:18, 9 August 2018 (UTC)
- Killing of Ryan Poston per SarekOfVulcan. Dicklyon (talk) 19:49, 11 August 2018 (UTC)
- Move to alternate proposal. The current title is unacceptable. I prefer Death of Ryan Poston as the most neutral possible, Killing of Ryan Poston is acceptable but I can't see a single reason to prefer it... we don't put the article content into the title. Death of Ryan Poston → Murder of Ryan Poston – The accused in this case has again been convicted of Poston's murder and thus all the above concerns necessitating the change of title to "death of" no longer apply. Multiple editors agreed the move to "Death of Ryan Poston" should be reverted to "murder of" were a conviction to occur and this has now happened Shakehandsman (talk) 04:32, 30 August 2018 (UTC)
- Support title should be edited to "Murder of Ryan Poston" murder conviction has occurred. Vwanweb (talk) 13:26, 30 August 2018 (UTC)

editThe article looks ok for the most part and doesn't have anything totally egregious, but there are several sentences in the article that appear to express non-neutral views of the subject, such as describing the trial as "sensational" or characterizing the defendant's statements as "bizarre". signed, Rosguilltalk 22:35, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
Shayna Hubers - Mugshot Update
editI saw on the Kentucky DOC website that Shayna Hubers now has a more up to date mugshot. Is it relevant to update this, or keep the original from the time of the crime?
