NPOV edit

In light of recent edit warring it seems nobody has utilized the talk page to point out some of the issues this article has, Michelle Benson has also recently announced her campaign for governor so I'm guessing that is why many of these edits are happening now. The tone of this article does not meet Wikipedia:IMPARTIAL, many of the details in the Minnesota Senate section read more like an attack ad than describing actual policies or positions she has stated, specifically sections like " When Benson sat as the chair of the health and human services committee, she tried to lead efforts for the elimination of the healthcare provider tax, which would have caused a $1.5 billion hole in the health and human services budget, low-income health programs, and programs for disabled and elderly people." or "She sponsored a proposal to remove healthcare, vision, and dental coverage from 510,000 Minnesotans and more than 25,000 live in Benson’s Anoka county." The bit about Benson spread scientifically incorrect information about the COVID-19 virus and questioned needs for testing and vaccinations is referenced to a podcast, nothing else so it needs other sources to verify this information. In addition, it says Benson has been a long time opponent to the Affordable Care Act and while this may be true, the source provided does not mention her name. Currently this article I believe does not meet WP:NPOV without improvements to sourcing and the tone of this article. JayJayWhat did I do? 14:39, 1 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. It appears the contents added were directly pulled from an attack ad that aided this morning. Buildbackbetter (talk) 17:18, 1 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
I have removed one small piece of unambiguous editorialising to promote a political point of view. I am willing to believe there is likely to be much more, but I haven't done the necessary checking to find out. JBW (talk) 20:46, 1 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
I too think that the current version of the article is unacceptable due to the BLP concerns, and on further thought I feel that Buildbackbetter's version should be restored temporarily while better sources are found: better to have no negative material than negative material poorly sourced.
