Wikipedia:WikiProject Finance & Investment/Assessment

Welcome to the assessment department of the Finance & Investment WikiProject! This department focuses on assessing the quality of Wikipedia's Finance and Investment related articles. While much of the work is done in conjunction with the WP:1.0 program, the article ratings are also used within the project itself to aid in recognizing excellent contributions and identifying topics in need of further work.

The ratings are done in a distributed fashion through parameters in the {{WikiProject Finance & Investment}} project banner; this causes the articles to be placed in the appropriate sub-categories of Category:Finance & Investment articles by quality, which serves as the foundation for an automatically generated worklist.

Frequently asked questionsEdit

How can I get my article rated?
Please list it in the section for assessment requests below.
Who can assess articles?
Any member of the Finance & Investment WikiProject is free to add or change the rating of an article.
Why didn't the reviewer leave any comments?
Unfortunately, due to the volume of articles that need to be assessed, we are unable to leave detailed comments in most cases. If you have particular questions, you might ask the person who assessed the article; they will usually be happy to provide you with their reasoning.
What if I don't agree with a rating?
You can list it in the section for assessment requests below, and someone will take a look at it. Alternately, you can ask any member of the project to rate the article again.
Aren't the ratings subjective?
Yes, they are, but it's the best system we've been able to devise; if you have a better idea, please don't hesitate to let us know!

If you have any other questions not listed here, please feel free to ask them on the discussion page for this department.

Requesting an assessmentEdit

If you have made significant changes to an article and would like an outside opinion on a new rating for it, please feel free to list it below.

  • Australian Financial Services Licence Hello! I have been working hard on expand the article for a university project for the last semster. The article is stub rated and nothing has been reivewed, so I would appreciate a review as I believe the article should be uprgaded from a stub! Thank you for your assitance Wikisonhon7|Wikisonhon7] (talk) 10:29, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
  • Environmental_finance - An incredibly relevant topic given the current worsening environmental situation. This article originally started as a stub, and through my additions I believe it should be considered for at least a C class assessment. Cheer!
  • Payday loans in the United States
  • Stable value funds
  • International Bank Account Number
  • Solvency II Directive - I view this to be of high importance with potential impact on cost of living, retirement costs and infrastructure investment (all hot topics in UK). Current uncertainty re the status of the Directive is very damaging. Even it is enacted, it is unclear whether there would be sufficient resource to be able to implement the requirements. This already gets a significant amount of press coverage in the UK and I would expect this to increase towards the referendum on EU membership which does look as if it will go ahead after the next general election (there seems to be party political consensus on this.)
  • Second mortgage - I have significantly contributed to this article and would really appreciate an assessment. Thank you --Jtay2222 (talk) 01:01, 9 December 2020 (UTC)
