Is there too much emphasis on which locos ran on the line and not enough about the branch itself? --80.193.99.43 (talk) 14:03, 16 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Locomotive cleanup

edit

The rolling stock section should list primarily (and before any other activities are attempted) the common or standard locomotives and other stock used on the railway.

It should not, as it appears to do now, list any vehicle ever seen, especially if that gives an unrepresentative view.

There were two main types of traffic on this line, a regular passenger train, and later the quarry trains.

The article should state what was used on these, and when.

(Also "representative images" is not the way to do it - if the image isn't of the loco on the line - leave it out. )83.100.174.82 (talk) 02:14, 4 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

This hasn't yet been addressed, but certainly should be. This whole section is vast, and largely irrelevant. Timothy Titus Talk To TT 12:39, 5 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Restauration

edit

There is no mention of any restauration. So why is Malton and Driffield Railway included on {{Heritage railways in England}} as being "operational"?

Peter Horn User talk 00:54, 19 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Peter Horn:Yes there is. Restoration is clearly stated in the last sub-heading of history - Yorkshire Wolds Railway Society. The joy of all things (talk) 08:21, 19 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for pointing that out. Peter Horn User talk 22:26, 19 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
This wasn't clear, so I've moved the restoration project to its own section, and also added a note to the lead paragraph, where the heritage operation should be mentioned. Timothy Titus Talk To TT 12:37, 5 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
