What happened to the section on Aria's family? It's just gone except for half of a sentence. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.89.235.114 (talk) 01:57, 14 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Alison DiLaurentis section addition

edit

∞Alison IS alive. She had a twin, Courtney. Courtney was in a mental hospital and had menaged to escape and replacing Alison in her place. Courtney had been pretending to be Alison for years but then Alison escaped from the mental hospital and then kidnapped Courtney and buirried her alive. Now Alison IS alive and is a part of "-A" and is Red Coat.

That is a part that I just wanted to add to the Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse) section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.150.243.126 (talk) 10:43, May 25, 2013‎ (UTC)

Please add Toby Cavanaugh to the Main Characters because he has been in more episodes than 5 of the people that are under the title main. For example, Maya St Germain has been in 19 episodes and Toby Cavanaugh has been in 62. Prettylittleliar.spoby (talk) 20:14, 5 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi! Toby may have a bigger role than Maya, however, Maya was listed in the main cast and Toby is still a guest star so he should stay in supporting. Scream4man (talk) 02:42, 19 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

ShAnA

edit

So instead of making the decision myself, I have decided to come here and ask for thoughts. Should Shana be listed as a member of the "A-Team"? It has been confirmed that Shana wasn't the "A" behind it all, but does that mean she didn't have connections with "A-Team"? I also must note that Shana didn't just perform "A" like tasks in that episoe (5x01/4x24). Remember the fact that she is the one who set the Lodge on fire, was the black jacketed person who met with Jenna, And had connections to Mona and Ravenswood as seen in 4A. Recurring/Guest

edit

Are you considered recurring after 3 appearances in a season or 5? Scream4man (talk) 03:46, 13 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

You're considered recurring after 5 appearances :) I'm still unsure as to why Jordan is even on the list though as he's only been in 4 episodes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.31.190.226 (talk) 15:03, 22 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

CeCe as Red Coat

edit

Please discuss it here before listing that CeCe was Red Coat. The finale never said that it was CeCe. Sara used the disguise at least three confirmed times and CeCe has only been confirmed to have worn it at the Sawmill and own one in 4x11. Scream4man (talk) 18:47, 15 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Sara in S3, 4 and 5

edit

We cannot confirm that it was Sara at the grave or any of that but we can 100% confirm that Sara got off that plane in 3x24, attended that funeral in 4x01, and this therefore means that she also was the woman in the black veil in 5x06. This is no different than Toby being played by an extra in the Pilot episode. It's still an appearance of the character. on a second note, CeCe should be added for appearances when we can confirm it was her as well. For example: We know it was her in the ending of 2x25 in the Red Coat. Scream4man (talk) 21:16, 9 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

His actor, Keegan Allen, is credited as Guest Starring, so regardless of how big Toby's role is, he's still recurring. Scream4man (talk) 20:20, 15 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Sara in Season 3-5

edit

Toby appeared in the Pilot episode portrayed by James Neate, Jessica DiLaurentis was portrayed by a different actress as well, as was Jason and Kate. This is no different from Sara Harvey. Yes, Charlotte has appeared in almost every single episode but that's different, because we are not 100% everytime that it was her. We know 100% sure that Sara Harvey got off the plane as Red Coat in 3x24 (portrayed by Sasha Pieterse), attended Wilden's funeral as Black Veil (portrayed by CC Mason), writing a note to Bethany's parents in 5x05 (unknown actor), and sitting down beside Charlotte in 6x08. So give me a good reason why we should not add these for? Also, she had an uncredited appearance in 4x14, portrayed by stock photos. Scream4man (talk) 20:18, 15 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

It is different from Sara Harvey because their faces are shown and their actors are billed and the table reflects the different casting and episode counts are still updated. It is not different from Charlotte appearing is almost every episode but we do not count them. Episode count goes by billing of who is playing who, otherwise the counts become a big mess because of this. There is already a note saying she is portrayed by stock photos. Brocicle (talk) 23:55, 15 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
Sara should not be added as Red Coat and Black Widow because we never saw her face. We didn't add CeCe as "A", we didn't add Mona as "A", we didn't add Melissa or Wilden as Queen of Hearts and so on. The stock photo is an important exception, because it was a Sara-centered episode and her introduction. Bernnardo (talk) 15:32, 16 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
Personally I see no problem with adding Mona and Charlotte as "A" but yes that is a little different. We saw a black hoodie. That's all. Sara's obscured face was actually shown in 3x24 (played by Sasha in that one) and you can all but see her face in that veil (played by CC Mason). That was just various stunt doubles running around in those hoodies as Mona and Charlotte. No, I do not think that we should add every single Red Coat appearance, I think we should add the ones when we are 100% certain that it is her. Aka 3x24 (We saw the flashback in the finale), 4x01 (Again, we saw the flashbacks), 5x06 (Sara was the Black Widow, so it was her at the ending of the episode) and 6x08 (that one most definitely). And honestly, I personally think we should add CeCe as a guest for 2x25 since she visited Mona and Shana when she visited Jenna. Those are different because we know it is them. Also, the stock photo really isn't that different. Scream4man (talk) 20:01, 16 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
All the character lists that I have come across have their count per billing and appearance, Sara did not physically appear in those episodes, just through flashback. I don't think it is fair to count Sara's appearances as Red Coat and Black Widow. Plus it literally could have been anyone but Marlene went with Sara, wrong move in my opinion but not the topic here. Stock photo is different as Dre Davis did not portray her in that episode. It would be like not counting the Pilot episode for Toby and Mrs DiLaurentis because they were played by someone else but they still physically appeared. Brocicle (talk) 23:05, 16 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
Those weren't flashbacks, Sara was literally there. And I get your point, but to be fair we are very different from every other list. They don't have unknown characters in disguises and stuff like that. Not trying to argue, I'm just saying that this is a list of characters not actors. If it were actors then yes I agree but this is about the characters. Scream4man (talk) 06:15, 17 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I thought I responded but didn't. But she wasn't at the time, the writer's could have made it anyone like Melissa or Jenna. CeCe was there on many occasions that we know of but we don't count her appearances or Mona's from the first two seasons as Bernnardo said. I feel like if we add them for Sara then we have to add them for CeCe and Mona and that's just too much. Brocicle (talk) 14:53, 21 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
I do understand your point about adding unknown appearances but "But she wasn't at the time, the writer's could have made it anyone like Melissa or Jenna." I don't think the writers just got a bunch of characters on a list and said "Okay, so I think we'll use Sara to be Red Coat". :/ Scream4man (talk) 23:08, 21 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

4 or 5 episodes = Recurring?

edit

I know we used 5 episodes for the other seasons because Recurring means like 1/5 of a season so five episodes was a good decision. But Season 6 has 20 episodes, so shouldn't we reduce it to 4? I'm just asking for your opinion. Bernnardo (talk) 22:42, 3 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Well I think it varies with different pages. Some TV show character pages count 3 as recurring and some count 5. So I personally think we should find out which one is the official definition of recurring and use that one for all seasons. Scream4man (talk) 21:59, 3 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
A lot of shows with say 10-15 episodes use 2 appearances of a character as recurring. I agree that we need to find the official definition. Brocicle (talk) 05:07, 4 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
I think 3 is too little. I believe we should keep 5 for seasons 1-5 and decide if seasons 6-7 should have either 4 or 5. Bernnardo (talk) 14:24, 5 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
I think we should just leave it as 5 unless there's a character that has a big significance in the storyline if they're only in say 3 episodes Brocicle (talk) 14:53, 11 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Wilden on the A-Team

edit

The reason I removed him was because we know Melissa was the one who drugged Aria and therefore left behind the "A" on the wall. I mean that was a female stunt double for that scene and a male for Wilden attacking Spencer. And "A" only buried one mask. We now know that Wilden was acting on his own when he killed Garrett so maybe "A" only sent Melissa. But his involvement could be argued I guess. Oh, and by the way, her Queen of Hearts stunt is not the only reason Melissa is listed. She was The Black Swan, too. Scream4man (talk) 19:31, 7 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Why the episode appearances numbers were deleted?

edit

It was a big part of the importance of these tabbers. Bernnardo (talk) 20:49, 20 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please read the MOS:TV guideline, particularly WP:TVCAST. It says the following under WP:TVCAST: The cast listing should not contain an episode count, e.g. (# episodes), to indicate the number of episodes in which the actor/character appeared. If an actor misses an episode due to a real world occurrence, such as an injury that prevents them from appearing, this info can be noted in the character's description or "Production" section with a reliable source. This applies to all articles about TV series. This was also discussed on the Television project talk page, under Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Television/Archive 5#Addendum to the Cast section. MPFitz1968 (talk) 18:16, 20 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
Okay, thank you. But I can't find anywhere why this change was necessary. Bernnardo (talk) 22:11, 20 April 2016
Because it is basically impossible to source "number of episode appearances" for any TV show castmember to a reliable secondary source (see: WP:RS). And any editor sitting there and watching the episodes to "count" the number of episode appearances counts as Original research. --IJBall (contribstalk) 22:54, 20 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Nia Peeples

edit

Why is Nia Peeples (Pam Fields) under the main cast section? She has never been part of the main cast. She has always been listed as a recurring guess star. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.189.223.30 (talk) 12:01, May 8, 2016‎ (UTC)

In the first season she is actually credited as main cast. Don't forget to sign your comments. Brocicle (talk) 14:32, 8 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
Give us some episodes.. For example Nia Peeples is credited as a Guest in 1x02.. Bernnardo (talk) 17:00, 12 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
In the pilot she's credited in the main cast. Pilot still counts. If it bothers you that much have her as recurring and add a note that she was credit as main in the pilot only. Encyclopedic entries reflect facts and it's a fact if you can be bothered rewatching the first five minutes of the first episode. Brocicle (talk) 18:02, 23 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

This article needs to be changed due to the incorrect characters on the table. Nia Peeples is credited as a main cast member during the first season when she was in fact never a main cast member. her name and character needs to be taken off the main cast list and added to the recurring cast list. She was also not a guest in season 5 either, so she needs recurring seasons 1-6 on her table. 174.17.211.201 (talk) 21:22, 6 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

3 for recurring?

edit

Should we change the recurring status to 3 or more? The reason I am suggesting this is because a lot of recurring characters have recently only had like 3 or 4 appearances in a season. For example, Vanessa Ray only has four appearances in Season 7, but I'd consider her recurring. Same with her in Season 4. She had only 3 appearances but played a major role and was revealed to be an A-Team member and Red Coat in her episodes. Or another example is Sydney in Season 7. She played a somewhat big role but only had 3 appearances. So should we lower it to 3? Scream4man (talk) 19:58, 31 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Franchise characters instead of just main series

edit

Should we update this to include the characters from the whole franchise similar to how shows like Full House and Fuller House have one character page under List of Full House and Fuller House characters. Similarly, List of Once Upon a Time characters contains characters from Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. The tables would be easy enough to update (although I say we get rid of the recurring cast table altogether, most shows on here don't include one and it feels unnecessary to me). For the main cast table it would be:

Notes
  1. ^ In the first season, Lawson is credited as a regular through episode 13. In season two, she only receives star billing in the episodes she appears.
  2. ^ In the seventh season, Leighton only receives star billing in the episodes she appears.
  3. ^ In season one, Peeples is credited as a series regular in 1x01. In all her subsequent appearances she is credited as a guest star.
  4. ^ Sasha Pieterse is credited as a series regular from 1x02 onwards. In 1x01 she is credited as a guest star.
  5. ^ In season four, Blackburn is credited as a series regular through 4x14. In season five, he is credited as a series regular from 5x05 onwards.

For me, I think this would be a better summary now that the show has expanded into a full franchise. 72.82.29.156 (talk) 02:23, 10 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
