Date of birth edit

A date of birth was added but was uncited so I have removed it. For something like that we must have a reliable citation to support it, thanks. Off2riorob (talk) 10:20, 23 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Lara JonesLara Jones (authour) – A request from family members of the deceased. Larajones (talk) 19:17, 20 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • Support, to avoid confusion with another potentially notable Lara Jones, an English schoolteacher who was strangled to death while vacationing in Cuba. bd2412 T 19:51, 20 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose - my condolences to the family members of the deceased, but I'm afraid that per Wikipedia policy, the request it not really a sufficient reason to rename the article. As far as I can tell, Ms Jones' middle name is not generally included in reliable secondary sources, for example the Guardian obituary: [1], or indeed in primary sources such as the covers of her work: [2]. Therefore, per WP:MIDDLES the middle name should not be included in the article title on Wikipedia. As for the English schoolteacher mentioned by BD2412, we don't have an article for her at present (more than three months after the incident in which she became notable) and I think it's unlikely she would merit her own article; per WP:1E, it's more likely we would just have an article about the incident itself if one were ever to be created.  — Amakuru (talk) 22:48, 28 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • With respect, we haven't been offered a reason why the article should have the title changed. I have to Oppose as things currently stand. (I don't see any potential for confusion by anyone reading the article). ŞůṜīΣĻ¹98¹Speak 06:32, 2 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
