Photographs

I want to discuss the photographs used in this article.

• 
  This is quite good, (Redacted), but it suffers slightly from barrel distortion due to the use of the widest angle setting on a cheap Nikon consumer kit lens, and is slightly underexposed in parts, and has a little too much foreground. The sun is also not on the nose (smokebox door), though it is on the side.
• 
  I suggest this one is better exposure, but unfortunately it is very similar to the first photograph so I regret to say that I think we can't use both of them.

With respect Tony, may I suggest you start taking and uploading your own photographs to Commons, and categorise them, rather than continually criticising everyone else's work. — O Still Small Voice of Clam 06:33, 29 May 2019 (UTC) Hi Voice of Clam - that unfortunately is not a productive comment, but given your history, it's not unexpected. You might want to have a look at Wikipedia:Introduction - especially the bit where it says "if you don't want your work critiqued and mercilessly edited by others, don't contribute." If you don't want your photographs critiqued by someone who knows what "composition" and "exposure" mean, don't upload photos to Wikipedia. Right, back on track... has anyone got any sensible suggestions? Btw, you really ought to learn about how Wikipedia works - there is nothing to require me to upload my own photographs to Commons. In fact, I would argue not doing so avoids my being vain towards photos I have taken. We need the most illustrative photos, regardless of source. I don't think there's much difference between the two photographs, but to me the one on the right looks duller and doesn't stand out as well, so I'd go with the one on the left. Ritchie333 ^{(talk) (cont)} 12:27, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

Photographs

Back in August there was a railtour run to Blaenau Ffestiniog called "The Conwy Quest". On this tour 45690 Leander was one of the two engines chosen. I propose some of the following images to be used in the article.

• 
  Leander is seen parked up in the loop at Blaenau Ffestiniog with part of 48151's just infront of the jubilee.
• 
  Leander is seen stood alongside the Ffestiniog Railway while waiting for 48151 to be coupled back onto the train and clear the line.
• 
  Leander is seen at the far end of Blaenau Ffestiniog parked up alongside the LMS 8F no 48151.

These images could be used to show when the Jubilee took part in the re-opening special for the Conwy Valley line. (User talk:2A00:23C5:FC81:3E00:5516:42B7:C392:63F2) 17:30, 27 November 2019 (UTC)

Loco now returned to service

Loco has returned to service again as of February 2023, can't find a source that would be deemed good enough for wiki though Cardean905 (talk) 08:43, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
