Role in "anti-Serb pogrom" edit
This entire section is an enormous reach. It details extensively crimes against the Serb population....on a biography page? Stadler's name is mentioned once in the first paragraph, otherwise it is just a description of events during the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, which have nothing to do with the biography of Stadler. It literally mentions the Austro-Hungarian goverment encouraging riots--again, what does this have to do with Stadler? Mentions of assaults, razing buildings, pillaging--again, no mention of what this has to do with Stadler. Then "later that night" some agreement is reached with numerous people--Stadler's name is finally included--but with no mention of how the earlier events were Stadler's responsibility. Then the second paragraph continues to discuss what the city government did--again, with no mention of Stadler.
This reads like someone has a personal agenda that they are determined to push. I've read the sources and Stadler did not approve of "pogroms". There is an big attempt to put him at fault for a meeting between the government and police. A very big reach.
Right after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, the Austro-Hungarian government encouraged anti-serb riots in Sarajevo, in which Serb civillians were assaulted, numerous houses, Serbian Orthodox churches, schools, shops and institutions owned by Serbs were razed or pillaged. Leading to divisions unprecedented in the city's history. Later that night, an agreement was reached between the provincial government of Bosnia and Herzegovina led by Oskar Potiorek, Sarajevo city police and Štadler with his assistant Ivan Šarić to eradicate the "subversive elements of this land."
The city government issued a proclamation and invited population of Sarajevo to "fulfill their holy duty and clean their city of the shame through eradication of the subversive elements." It was printed on the posters which were distributed and displayed over the city during that night and tomorrow early morning, which signaled the continuation of the pogrom. Two Serbs were killed on the first day of the demonstrations, and many were attacked, while numerous houses, shops and institutions owned by Serbs were razed or pillaged.
If we are going to include any religious leader as "inciting" riots, then why are the pages of Serbian Orthodox priests from the 1990s Bosnia-Herzegovina not similarly filled with descriptions of crimes committed against Bosniaks and Croats and how the Orthodox priests contributed to them?
