Interview on Saturday Night at the Movies (Circa 1982) edit
John was a guest on the Ontario based program Saturday Night at the Movies with Elwy Yost around 1982. John mentioned that his favorite actor was Peter Sellers. In the interview as well he mentioned Alec Guinness and spoke of his new movie It Came from Hollywood. See YouTube <ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXH3FpLXbNo<ref>. birthplace incorrect edit
I found this source [1] stating that Candy was born in Toronto and was raised in "the city's East York neighborhood," which is most likely referencing Newmarket. I think we should change his birthplace to Toronto. Iamreallygoodatcheckers (talk) 09:58, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
Genetic History Contradiction edit
In the death section it says his children say he was unaware of his family's genetic history. Two sentences later the article says he dieted and exercised because of his family history. Which one is it? -WarthogDemon 20:50, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
Poor picture edit
This is a very unrepresentative picture of the smiling, jovial John Candy. This picture looks like he's a member of the Blues Brothers or something.Bdavid1111 (talk) Bdavid1111 (talk) 01:39, 17 December 2022 (UTC)
- I agree. The picture should be one where he is more recognizable. Also, dark sunglasses should be avoided in pictures like these. I'd support anyone who can find a better version that is more representative of John Candy. Adam Clark(User_Talk) (email) 23:19, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
- I've added a new picture that I hope better represents him — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vanishedman (talk • contribs) 00:33, 19 July 2023 (UTC)
Double talk stupidly edit
How can you say his children claim he was unaware of the genetic history yet just a few sentences later state he worked out with trainers because of his family health history? Wiki writers are left leaning biased idiots (not hard to see that) who claim to be journalists??? A sixth grader (from the 70’s or 80’s anyway)could have spotted that oxymoron. 96.45.99.168 (talk) 04:00, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
