"English, French, and Polish are the most important languages of the EU"?

Did he really say such a stupid thing? What's next? A Swede gets elected and claims that Swedish is the most important language of the EU? I can think of at least half a dozen European languages that are way more important than Polish in the EU, Polish is a relatively unimportant language in Europe, being spoken in a smaller country and not used outside that country at all. According to statistics, Polish is indeed the 6th (and not the 3rd) most important EU language as regards to the number of speakers (EU law states that all languages are equal). But this does not, however, change the fact that your remarks are racist. I recommend you get back to learning English and restrict yourself to commenting on the substance of this article, rather than stating your personal opinions. POV

This article lack neutral POV. Why there are no mentions about high controversies surronding his Prime Ministership and agenda (opinions about his "achivments" are still highly divided) and landslide defeat in 2001? Darth Kalwejt (talk) 23:37, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

I assure you that the lack of information on these controversies is not by design. Looking at who's edited the article, [2], it seems clear that most if not all contributors to this article have only added snippets of information, rather than detailed analysis. Again, this is not by design; to develop an article to represent all sides requires interest from contributors, and it doesn't seem people have been interested enough on Buzek to do that. I mean, I just came to the article today, and already I've made the most edits any one single editor has made to this article in its history. It doesn't exactly help either that any detailed analysis of Buzek's time as PM is probably in Polish, and considering this is an English version of Wikipedia Polish readers will be spread thin. However, this is Wikipedia, so you can add information on these controversies if you wish, making sure such information is cited to reliable sources. Otumba (talk) 23:59, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Problem with vandalism

There seems to be a problem with vandalism[3] to this article. Some Polish user keeps changing the sentence "after the 1939 German invasion of Poland it was annexed by Germany" to the rather meaningless "after the 1939 it was annexed by Germany". It may be that he is not a native speaker of English, but in that case he should refrain from making continuous reverts after being told he is in error. The same user also pushes the "Zaolzie" theory. The details of Buzek's birth place in dealt with in a separate footnote, there is no need for duplication in the main text. Especially since his birthplace was not in Poland or "Zaolzie" at the time of his birth (the only time it was Polish, ever, was one year of Polish occupation before his birth). Also, moving the end ref tag is inappropriate, since the history of his birth place should be kept in the footnote. When "Zaolzie" is dealt with in great detail, there is also no reason for removing the fact that the area was part of Cisleithania rather than Hungary. 158.143.166.124 (talk) 19:34, 19 July 2009 (UTC) 

To whom it may concern, We are writing on behalf of President Buzek's cabinet in the EP. We work for the press, media and communications team and much of our work concerns President Buzek's online presence. The press team would like to contribute to this page and include more up-to-date information regarding his term in office (which will soon be coming to a close) and details of important legislation (the Lisbon Treaty and recent MEP code of conduct just as an example) which are not at all addressed in this article. Prior attempts to edit earlier today were removed and we would like to know how we could go about this more constructively. Of course in the interest of objectivity we have no intention of submiting anything partisan, it is simply that we have noticed a shortage of current information on this page which to many is a first point of reference. Grammar, consistency, for the tenth time

For possibly the tenth time[4]:

• Austria-Hungary cannot be referred to as "the Austria-Hungary" in English
• The sentence "after the 1939 it was..." does not make sense in English
• The details about his birthplace belongs in the footnote, and there is no need to duplicate the Zaolzie information. As the place wasn't in Poland at the time of his birth (and only was Polish for one year before his birth), using this particular name so prominently (when it's already mentioned in the footnote together with the rest of the history of the place) is clearly Polish irredentism. For the sake of consistency, all historical details of his birthplace should be kept in the footnote.

If anyone reinstates these errors again, without discussion, I will revert on sight. 158.143.166.124 (talk) 22:35, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
