Talk:Jerry Ragovoy

Latest comment: 7 years ago by InternetArchiveBot in topic External links modified

Greetings, Does anyone know if this is the same person credited as the piano-playing Dr Ragovoy on the B.B. King album B.B. King in London. Have also come across a ref. elsewhere, but can't remember where, here on Wikipedia that the song "Ain't Nobody Home" which also appears on that album, was written by someone called Ragovoy. Thanx for your help. --Technopat 23:36, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ragovoy and The Hit Factory edit

I remember reading way back that Ragovoy founded The Hit Factory, but the dedicated article only mentions that he sold it in 1975. Does anyone know the dates so that the info can be included both here and at the studio article. Am including this request there also. Thanx. --Technopat (talk) 10:39, 3 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Jerry Ragovoy is not likely the composer of "Pata Pata" edit

Wikipedia* is the only place I see Jerry Ragovoy credited as composer of this song. Pata Pata is very much unlike his other songs and the song/lyrics would suggest an African composer. The feeling of the song not very "white Jew" as he was described in the article.

Other sites suggesting that the composer of Pata Pata (or Phata Phata) is Dorothy Masuka are:

One of Wikipedia's external links for your article on Dorothy Masuka cites her as composer of Pata Pata. [3] Most sites describe her as being equally a composer and singer.

Honda is currently running an ad for Accord Crosstours using this music.

  • Also [4] but they use Wikipedia material for their article.
