Close paraphrased / poor English content removed edit

I've removed the following content, as it suffers from Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing and poor English, making it both copyvio-close, and half-nonesensical. Perhaps somone more versed in Korean art can use it to write something more helpful. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 14:26, 18 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

His knowledge was reflected in the creation of Jingyeong-sansuhwa (眞景山水畵, 진경산수도; true-view landscape painting). His Geumgangjeondo (金剛全圖, 금강전도; General View of Kumgang Mountain), in the Hoam Museum merges influences from Neo-Confucianism and the newly arrived Western astronomy. The creative round-shape composition reflects the effect of Taegeukron (太極論; the theory of Great Absolute in Chinese philosophy) and Eumyangron (陰陽論; the theory of positive and negative in Chinese philosophy) of traditional Zhou-I, as well as the effect of Western astronomy. This painting has been interpreted to reflect various political meanings based on Sangsuyeokhak (象數易學; Science of Divination using images and numbers). In the winter of 1734, when he was 59 years of age, with the assumption that the upper right poem on a painting must have been Gyeomje's own poem. This poem was one of appreciation written by one who owned it. The painting was made in 1740s when he was on his seventies, at the latter part of his life, to show abstract, ideological, and ideal styles.

More copyvio content was removed here. It was well referenced, so if someone cares, this could be inserted back in, after of course a proper rewrite. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 21:44, 18 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

More about recent changes edit

 • Hello. IMO, this article needs some copy-edit. But, before proceeding, I have the intent to
 1. transform the table gallery into a sortable table gallery, allowing to search a work by English name, but also by Korean name, and date of release. (done)
 2. reorg the sources given in reference. Having a separate place and using sfn links will facilitate access and verification. E.g. all the dbpia links provided here are no more working. Help would be welcome !

 • As of now, reorg of sources is done. The dbpia links are fixed. For Korean papers, both Korean-title and trans-title are given, as it should be. It "only" remains to reorg the text in order to emphasize the key point, i.e. "painting from view" rather than "painting from memory". Pldx1 (talk) 12:05, 19 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
