If she's Matsu-class, edit

why is she listed under Momi class on the list of IJN ships...? confusedsailorman 03:31, 15 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

The Momi strikes edit

"Chief Equipping Officer - Lt. Cmdr. Tsuneo Yonei " So why's he listed as "CO"? Or is this IJN for "commissioning crew CO"? Also, were the TT 1x4? 2x2? And Fitzsimons says up to 60 DC; I presume that varied by individual ships in the class. How reliable is the 36 for Momi? And while this page says "Peach", this page says "White Pine". Which is it? B class review edit

@Sturmvogel 66: I already made this B class, but I overlooked a missing citation. Please see Construction and career, paragraph 2 at the end. Djmaschek (talk) 04:07, 12 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for that--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 11:33, 12 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Will review soon. Hog Farm Talk 03:00, 24 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

  • Rohwer is listed as a source but not used
  • Article gives the name meaning as "fir tree", but Nevitt has "white fir"? It appears to be practically the same to my non-Japanese reading eyes, but maybe better to go with the exact translation in case there's some sort of different connotation with that?
  • Recommend a second ref to support the nature of Ikutagawa Maru as an ex-Italian reefer
  • "despite the presence of a nearby Allied convoy headed towards Lingayen Gulf. The two destroyers were spotted by American aircraft as heading directly for their convoy, so the Ikutagawa Maru may have already separated herself from her escorts by this time, and the three ships comprising the convoy's escort attempted to intercept them" - not in Nevitt. Maybe a misplaced reference?
  • Looks like maybe the page range for O'Hara should be 288-290 (barely hanging over onto that third page)?

I think that's it from me. Hog Farm Talk

Thanks for looking this over. See if my changes are satisfactory.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 17:13, 25 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Still not seeing where we have supported "The two destroyers were spotted by American aircraft as heading directly for their convoy", although I may be missing it. Hog Farm Talk 22:16, 25 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Finally found it.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 16:03, 26 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
