GA Review edit

This review is transcluded from Talk:JAL Express/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

Comments:

  1. As with JALways, the link to the Japanese Wikipedia article is not needed in the lead.
    Removed as suggested. Aviator006 (talk) 06:21, 22 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
  2. In sentence "On July 1, 1998, JAL Express commenced operations from Osaka to Miyazaki and Kagoshima; with two Boeing 737-400s, non-Japanese cockpit crew, and short-term contracted cabin attendants.", remove semicolon after "Kagoshima".
    Removed as suggested. Aviator006 (talk) 06:21, 22 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
  3. "On the same day, the airline celebrated its tenth anniversary of establishment in April 2007": Remove "April 2007" as it is redundant.
    Removed as suggested. Aviator006 (talk) 06:21, 22 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
  4. File:JAL Mileage Bank.png and File:JAL Global Club.png do not have a fair use rationale for this article.
Fair use rationale added in images. Aviator006 (talk) 06:21, 22 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
  5. See the GA review of JALways for concerns I have with the JAL Mileage Bank section.
Updated as per comments in JALways GA review. Aviator006 (talk) 06:21, 22 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
  6. The alt text for the images needs some work, it should not simply be a repetition of the caption. See WP:ALT.
All alt text completely rewritten to comply with WP:ALT. Aviator006 (talk) 06:21, 22 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

I am placing the article on hold. Dough4872 (talk) 16:54, 21 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

File:JMB Sapphire01s3.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion edit

An image used in this article, File:JMB Sapphire01s3.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

Good Article reassessment request edit

This article appears to have had parts of another article pasted on it, evidenced by some section headers being duplicated.

I came across this when I tried to remove the IATA members category, but can't locate the code to do so.

This edit is where things appear to have gone south. I have no idea how this article was awarded Good Article status.

Removed GAR template. Problem was a template that was inserting content from the Japan Airlines page. Fixed problem with this edit.
