Images of chaos

edit

Ekeland doesn't discuss the Julia set, which has the best graphic. He does discuss the Feigenbaum bifurcation of the iterated logistic function system.  Kiefer.Wolfowitz  (Discussion) 23:10, 15 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Mathematics and the unexpected and Jurassic park

edit

Before Crichton's Jurassic Park, Ivar Ekeland and James Gleick each wrote exactly one book on chaos theory. These books were not mentioned by name in Crichton's novel, but as a courtesy to the reader I have named each.  Kiefer.Wolfowitz  (Discussion) 21:16, 18 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
