i dont think so --Surachit 09:44, 23 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

I clearly hear a bass (or some low-pitched string instrument) in the version I'm listening to. What's the source for "no base guitar"? -- Dan Griscom (talk) 16:59, 9 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Guitar edit

Does anyone know what guitar was used to record this track? And settings —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.26.109.189 (talk) 16:43, 4 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

perfect day edit

yes, it is agreed on that perfect day was about heroin but it was written way before lou reed stopped doing heroin. he was still active in the drug in his solo days, after that song was released.

merge edit

Please note : There is a discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Songs/coverversions with the purpose of trying to establish a standard rule for merge/separate different versions of the same song. Please make known your feelings on the matter.--Richhoncho (talk) 20:03, 23 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Golden rule Comment edit

Re recent additions and reverts, the Trainspotting quote is: "The bad-taste bastard breaks the junkie’s golden rule by puttin on ‘Heroin’, the version on Lou Reed’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Animal, which if anything, is even more painful to listen to when you're sick than the original version on The Velvet Underground and Nico. Mind you, at least this version doesn't have John Cale’s screeching viola passage on it. Couldn't have handled that.” Ceoil (talk) 14:22, 26 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

I take from this...never play, but if you have to, then better the original version. Ceoil (talk) 23:45, 27 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
