G- do us a favor, if you are going to put up a self-promoting wikipedia entry and call yourself a writer link to something more substantive than a single page flash website.

That website is a work of art in itself. It's not "single page" whatsoever. And you're right. It is nothing but a stub I've been meaning to expand, but my wikimotto is that that's a problem "better resolved through contribution than complaint." Why was "United States-based (since 1978)" removed? He's been based in the U.S. practically all of his adult life; surely this merits mention. - Jmabel | Talk 00:20, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

The writing, particularly in its word choice ("legendary" being one of Gomez-Pena's favorite words for describing his own events), seems to suggest that big chunks of this were indeed written by Gomez-Pena. As someone currently slogging through a series of his writings, self-promotion seems locked in a struggle to the death with contradiction and banal identity politics. 89.247.91.45 (talk) 23:54, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

Remove Notability Tag

I'd like to put forth a motion to remove the "Notability" tag from this article. This artist has had a TON of press over the years, and we now have a pretty wide variety of outside sources (and can easily get more). Clearly, the article still needs some work, but the notability problem really doesn't seem to be an issue. Any objections? MisterB777 (talk) 17:13, 14 May 2013 (UTC)

I agree that the article needs some work, but notability is not the issue. This is a very well known contemporary artist who has received international attention. I just removed the tag.--Arthistorygrrl (talk) 19:01, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
