Giovanni Battista Bracelli → Giovanni Battista Bracelli (bishop) – To distinguish him from the artist Giovanni Battista Bracelli 160.39.125.147 (talk) 03:43, 26 August 2019 (UTC) --Relisting. — Newslinger talk 02:55, 11 September 2019 (UTC)--Relisting. A1Cafel (talk) 02:48, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). Calidum 23:29, 26 August 2019 (UTC)
@160.39.125.147: the artist's last name is Braccelli while this subject's last name is Bracelli. Calidum 23:29, 26 August 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose. Since the historical references for the artist inconsistently refer to his family name as "Bracelli" or "Braccelli", it should be sufficient to distinguish the two men by a hatnote atop each entry, rather than by appending a parenthetical qualifier to one of the main title headers. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 17:30, 27 August 2019 (UTC)
- Support there is inconsistent spelling for the artist(s) in reliable sources In ictu oculi (talk) 09:22, 11 September 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose per above. Better deal with it with disambiguation hatnote. PPEMES (talk) 12:39, 16 September 2019 (UTC)
- Support. Googling for the name with the single C generates results mostly connected to the artist, including reliable reputable entries such as the National Gallery of Art and the British Museum, meaning he is primary topic for either spelling. In fact, based on the results I'd say the artist ought to actually be moved to this title, as more independent sources are using that. — Amakuru (talk) 09:49, 19 September 2019 (UTC)
- Support. The two spellings are not different names. Srnec (talk) 02:25, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
