Consider revising the following sentence: "Eklund is 6'4" tall, weighing 195 pounds and penis length 8 inches thick." How can the length of a penis be 8 inches thick?! Suggestion: Remove the word thick. PJ 16:11, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

It's also not true, as a look at any of his pics will reveal! More like six. But pending a change on that I'll add metric measurements to the article. --Dub8lad1 22:02, 21 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Can we try for 7? He is not your average 6....by any means. Chesspride 216.144.161.51 (talk) 20:06, 24 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Swenglish edit

Good lard, this article needs work. Several of the "edits" of the past 6 months have rendered entire clauses unintelligible. Some of this may be because we have some native Swedish speakers posting in English; I am not sure, but it needs work.

Example: back on 1 June we had "In 1999, he founded the internet company Humany, with his father and the former Swedish prime minister Carl Bildt on the board, among others. Eklund was the CEO and had 45 employees at the age of 23." On 12 June 72.76.2.125 "rm anecdotal content, irrelevancy" resulting in "In 1999, Eklund founded the internet company Humany. He was the CEO and had 45 employees at the age of 23." 7 August, Bravo900 reintroduced the dad and misused a verb: "In 1999, Eklund founded the internet company Humany together with his father. He was put CEO and had 45 employees at the age of 23." 13 September, 64.61.24.194 inserts a wildly misplaced modifier and a run-on: "In 1999, Eklund founded the internet company Humany. He was the CEO and had 45 employees at the age of 23 **with former prime minister Carl Bildt and became internationally known as the IT-wiz kid of Sweden's Internet bubble**." And that's how it stands today: awful and misleading. I cannot attest to the veracity of any of this information, but the earlier versions had Mr. Eklund's dad and former prime minister Carl Bildt on the board of directors of Humany. The latest version doesn't say anything of the kind; Carl Bildt's role is left totally unspecified, and it's got no business being tacked onto the latter sentence of the two quoted.

Similarly, the last sentence under Biography reads: "Eklund is currently working Senior Vice President at the New York City real estate firm CORE Group Marketing and sold for $211M USD the last 12 months according to their website." Eklund sold for $211M USD? At auction, perhaps? I wasn't aware there was a former gay pornstar auction going in NYC. And "in the last 12 months" is not the way to specify a date. This also proceeded from the 13 September edit by 64.61.24.194, and this is the ONLY Wikipedia edit found from that IP address.

I'm going to attempt some revision based on what I can find online, but somebody please go behind me and check this. Sebum-n-soda 17:01, 5 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Slander edit

Please stop slandering! What is wrong with you people? What did he do to you? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.108.1.56 (talk) 23:51, 16 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I have reviewed the article and decided to revert your edit. However, I did remove some uncited statements that were controversial. What remains should not be defamation. Please elaborate here on how you find the article incompatible with WP:LIBEL. --rxnd (talk) 19:58, 17 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Seeing that I am not an expert on Mr. Eklund, I will let others decide which elements that should be included the article. However, you blanked the Categories and References - why? --rxnd (talk) 20:13, 17 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Author edit

I started editing this article after I added the Scanorama cover page, which I used for the SAS article. As stated above, I can hence not say that I am an expert in Mr. Eklund. Nevertheless, I am amazed with the amount of mini edit wars that crop up in this article. The most recent of which is admin User:John Reaves's threat of blocking me (where did the UW escalation go?) for what in my eyes is a perfectly legit edit inline with the quoted reference. My analysis of the author paragraph is:

1. In March 2005, Eklund published a book titled Bananflugornas herre

The date of the publication aside, if he is not the author of this book, then who is? It is widely sold in at least three languages with a picture of Eklund on the cover. See, for instance Bokus. The official title does seem to be Bananflugornas herre: en roman, i.e. Lord of the fruit flies: a novel.

2. The title: The Lord of the Fruit Flies is a play on words with the classic Lord of the flies

I have found no reference for this and it could be left out. However, it feels quite logical to assume a relation between the two titles.

3. It is a story based on his experiences in the gay porn industry

This is completely inline with the reference used for the paragraph: [1]. That reference uses Eklund himself as a source.

4. According to interviews, Fredrik started to take notes already in the beginning of his career.

This was mentioned twice in the original version of the article, but I cannot find any references for it and it should remain excluded.

5. The book was released in Norway and Germany in 2005. The book had shortlived sales records.

I rewrote the sentence on the sales record because I could not find references that gave an exact quantification. The book attained some level of a sales record in Sweden for a period of time. The book has been translated to several languages, but I cannot find references for more than the two mentioned.

I am not going to edit this article further due to the recurring controversies. --rxnd (talk) 01:53, 16 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Section removing edit

What's up with these removals? The edit summary "Removed unneeded portion" doesn't clear it up. Someone who knows WP:ALIVE well should comment on this. Were those removals "justified"? 84.249.76.107 (talk) 15:29, 31 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Not in the least. Removals have been reverted.
Peter Isotalo 16:35, 31 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
And again but this time with the following edit summary: "Information is not correct" As I have neither the time nor the will to read the given citation, I'll leave that to someone else (maybe @Peter Isotalo:?). 80.222.149.17 (talk) 22:00, 31 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
