Who's the guy on the right... edit

...playing piano in the painting Studio in Rue de La Condamine? He's not listed either in the caption on this page or on the painting's page. Thanks. Randy Kryn (talk) 01:02, 14 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

That should be Edmond Maitre. The identities of some of the other figures are debatable; according to this source, Monet and Zola are out, Astruc and Sisley are in. Ewulp (talk) 01:32, 14 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
Thanks Ewulp, and this creates a quandary. Apparently the source used in the caption on this page lists a different line-up, and I'm wondering if Bazille, who died not long after this painting was completed, left notes of who he was painting. Doesn't help that most of these guys look alike (beards being "in" at that time). In the meantime, before the portrayals are sorted out, I've changed the caption on this page and the information at the paintings page. Maybe a note at the visual arts project would help at some point. Randy Kryn (talk) 11:20, 14 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Possible copyright infringement edit

The content of this article is replicated in a book published at Lulu.com. I have not purchased the book, but a sample provided on Google Play which includes the first 16 pages (including the title page) does not mention Wikipedia. It's possible that Wikipedia is given attribution elsewhere in the book.

Wikipedia:Mirrors and forks states that "complaints about violations need to be made by a person who actually wrote part of the improperly republished material", and I have not edited this page, so I'm adding this information in case anyone else wants to pursue this. In addition, I asked about the issue at Wikipedia Talk:Mirrors and forks in this edit. Leschnei (talk) 00:00, 16 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

a disambiguation page edit

is needed for the name Bazille - at least two articles about different people with the name exist — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:3034:13:14F9:1:1:9A1F:2F4D (talk) 12:30, 5 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
