Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Florence Devouard. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Succeeded by Michael Snow?

edit

This article says that Florence Devouard was succeeded as Chair of the WMF by "Michael Snow" 2008-07-17.

Is that accurate?

The Wikipedia article on Sue Gardner says "she was hired as the foundation's executive director" in 2007-12. Or did Sue Gardner become the WMF Executive Director while Florence Devouard was still continuing as the Chair of the Board?

More generally, I would like to see a series of Wikipedia articles with infoboxes documenting the chain of leadership. This would start with Jimmy Wales as a co-founder of Wikipedia 2001-01-15 and documenting more carefully when in 2003 he became "its official chairman from 2003" and when he left that position and was replaced by Florence Devouard sometime in 2006 ... unless Brad Patrick "served as interim executive director and general counsel to the not-for-profit Wikimedia Foundation from June 1, 2006 - March 31, 2007", as is claimed in the Wikipedia article on Jimmy Wales.

Comments? Thanks, DavidMCEddy (talk) 04:11, 1 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
