Just moved the second paragraph here as it is out of place and doesn't really add to the article, especially as it needs citations

According to AutoWeek's G.D. Levy, the 510 has often been called the "poor man's BMW."[citation needed]

wow no mention of all of the successes that this car has had in racing ? http://www.datsun.org/fairlady/BRE.htm Serpentes 10:41, 30 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

In the US the 1600 is this Sport 1600 not the 510.

The BRE racing car would be a perfect example. --THE FOUNDERS INTENT PRAISE 14:01, 21 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

How is the white car a race car? A closer look at this photo shows it be have minor body damage, and possibly rust. Can't we find a better example of this car? I'll look. --THE FOUNDERS INTENT PRAISE 14:01, 21 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Generally Inaccurate? Dates in particular

Here is my concern, the article states that the Datsun 510 was made from 1968 to 1973, but then later says it was sold in the US and Canada as late as 1982. YOU CANNOT HAVE IT BOTH WAYS. Furthermore, as someone who personally purchased a "Datsun 510" station wagon (and that was what it was sold as) in 1979 new off the lot in the US, it is thoroughly inaccurate to claim that they ended in 1973. I am no Nissan/Datsun expert, but this is pretty clear cut. I will wait a few days to see if there are any responses and if there are not, I intend to rewrite the article with as much correct information as I can muster. The article needs to differentiate between the P510/PL510s of '68-'73 and the later HL510s.
