– No clear primary topic, Chesterfield (cigarette) gets more views (5,899) than the Derbyshire town (5,819) though its football club gets 9,213 its unlikely it would bring in enough views for "Chesterfield" alone in terms of WP:DABCONCEPT to make the town primary. Chesterfield, Missouri has a population of 47,484 compared to the Derbyshire town's 88,483 (the district is 103,801 and urban area is 114,168) however its common to treat the state as part of the name per WP:USPLACE and it looks to be a suburb rather than a distinct settlement. Chesterfield coat gets 1,739. Google only shows the town though that's probably partly due to my location but Images mainly returns the couch and Books does return some results for the Earl though he's a PTM. While its likely that most of the other uses do derive from this one that's not determitive and its unlikely that the Staffordshire one does. Note to closer if moved links for the post 1974 district should be changed to Borough of Chesterfield since even though it doesn't yet have an article is maybe should, see User:Crouch, Swale/District split. • Support per detailed nomination. There are 43 entries listed at the Chesterfield (disambiguation) page — far too many for one medium-sized town to be WP:PRIMARY over all of those combined. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 21:49, 6 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • Support. Clear absence of a primary topic. It is well established that the oldest town isn't necessarily primary. BD2412 T 06:05, 7 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Interestingly a chesterfield is also a couch which is clearly a more notable topic (its a lavel 4 vital article) and gets more views (6,489) v 5,848[[1]] for the town. Crouch, Swale (talk) 10:32, 7 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Agreed, a Google search for the term and a Google Books search for the term also show a variety of options, the city itself is barely on the radar. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 14:16, 7 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Support per above. No clear primary topic. ---- Patar knight - chat/contributions 15:23, 10 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose. The centuries-old town is primary by long-term significance, having given its name to many of the other entries on the disambiguation page, including—through the Earl of Chesterfield (in the County of Derby)—several places in the United States.
