Is her role in the above mentioned noteworthy enough for inclusion? --204.14.239.210 (talk) 23:23, 27 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Yes, she has a starring role in this series. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:31, 8 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Evelyn Lanto is Keranen not Soler

edit

Hi, a few years ago wikipedia say it 1. Soler voice Misty 2. Lanto is the alias of Soler. This is a mistake. Lanto is the voice of this voice actress and Keranen voice Misty not Soler.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 18:49, 31 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

No clue what you are trying to collect here. This needs reliable sources. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:31, 8 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Okay, I found an interview by Lanto and it confirms her lead roles in Gokusen, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Kappa Mikey. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 22:23, 28 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Here's the chain of sources to confirm her roles:

bio from strawberry hill music: In addition to the aforementioned roles, Carrie has previously lent her voice to Mokuba and Kisara for the later seasons of Yu-Gi-Oh! She has had lead roles as Cutie Honey in the live action Cutie Honey, Kumiko in Gokusen, Hinaku in Phoenix (Hi no Tori) and as Sheena in the Pokemon feature film Arceus and the Jewel of Life.

Similar write-ups on her anime conventions.

In terms of Anime, I was Lind in the new Oh! My Goddess series, I played the lead in Gokusen as well as voices on several titles including Midori Days, Space Pirate Mito, Ninja Nonsense and The Piano to name a few."

Any questions? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 22:15, 29 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Her podcast interview with Everything Geek is bringing lots of good detail on her getting into voice acting and what her major roles are. It also confirms Gokusen and Yu-Gi-Oh. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 23:51, 31 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Carrie's birthday

edit

Her birthday is sourced by the news article which covers her participation in The Restaurant and the month and day are covered by the press release Facebook post by a company that produces her work. If she has requested it be removed, then this needs to be done with a Wikipedia OTRS. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:34, 3 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Her birthdate is "sourced" to a facebook post which is not a reliable source and to a news article which mentions her age at the time but does not mention a date. Whether she objects is irrelevant: BLP info must have a reliable source. —teb728 t c 21:46, 3 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
It's a reliable source per WP:SELFPUB by The Inspector Chronicles production. And the newspaper article is a reliable source. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:51, 3 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
I've tagged the Facebook post as questionable, but left the birth year approximation in since that is referenced by the newspaper article. She participated in The Restaurant. There is a Getty photo that confirms she is the same person from that article. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:59, 3 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
Why not try the tweets on Twitter some of the posts on Twitter do mention happy birthday on the exact day for this person!!--AnimeDisneylover95 (talk) 23:24, 3 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
If she tweets her own birthday as some other voice actors have done (e.g. Jennifer Hale, Michelle Ruff) then that can be used. Or if Inspector Chronicles tweets it again and she retweets it, then that would be legit. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 23:47, 3 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

I've moved the birthday facebook announcement here. The Inspector Chronicles (January 16, 2015). "Help us wish a happy birthday to our own Piper Tate, Carrie Keranen! Carrie will be born 24 years from today, back-time!". Facebook. Retrieved November 29, 2015.. if Keranen posts her own announcement or retweets/likes it then it is acceptable, but since it is by a second party it is not clear whether she is okay with having it publicized. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:30, 8 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Maxie1hoi found a tweet where she notes her birthday. It has been updated to the article. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:00, 8 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

(information deleted)

Her birthday is now removed and the COI declared above. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 01:43, 16 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry but why removed it?!?!?--AnimeDisneylover95 (talk) 00:07, 17 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
Please see WP:DOB "Wikipedia includes full names and dates of birth that have been widely published by reliable sources, or by sources linked to the subject such that it may reasonably be inferred that the subject does not object. If the subject complains about the inclusion of the date of birth, or the person is borderline notable, err on the side of caution"
The subject did complain at the Help desk - here so it has been removed - Arjayay (talk) 08:36, 17 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Several sites have 1987 listed as her birth year. However her high school yearbook is on classmates.com and she's listed as a senior of Berkley High School in 1994. She clearly was not just 7 years old at this time, so it's safe to say that birth year is false. I know this can't be used as a source here, but I just wanted to point that out. Anyone that puts the 1987 birth year on the article is likely getting it from either IMDB, Google or some scraper site.

Unverified on BTVA?

edit

If we're removing VA roles for being "unverified" on BTVA then someone's gotta go clear out all of the Cold Steel III roles that basically all the other VAs have on their pages, given that none of Cold Steel III is "verified". That would be a complete waste of time since you can easily find the same voice cast on IMDB, even if VA roles are unhelpfully labelled as "disputed" in the citing IMDB page. I don't suppose a video directly from the publisher noting Keranen as the roles would be acceptable: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1udn3K1ZyJM 2601:204:D000:769:200D:98AE:C7DA:D596 (talk) 22:34, 2 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

The video which is the panel from Anime Expo 2019 from NIS America would be okay as primary source. Can't use IMDb though. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 03:56, 3 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
