Was not a constant member

Brian did not leave temporarily. I know him and the Band personally and very well !! He left for months the first time to deal with a Divorce and to move from London back to Dublin. Five months in total. He then TOLD the Band he was leaving for good again before an Australian Tour , they replaced him and after the Tour Philip asked him to come back, which he did. Stop printing that he was constant or any other crap you decide upon. Im telling you fact ! I'm the Lizzy expert here...not you obviously. To be 'a constant' do you not think that it would be him who was behind the Drum kit for the Publishing of a Live DVD from Sydney instead of Nauseef..?? First, leaving edit summaries like that one will get you blocked, and I will personally bring that about. You've provided zero sources so nothing you say holds any merit at all, particularly stuff like "I'm the Lizzy expert here..." Downey missed a handful of gigs, and missed no albums. That does not constitute him not being a constant member. "Constant" does not necessarily mean he played every single gig. Nauseef was a stand-in. Whatever Downey was doing in his private life, you've provided nothing to prove it. Provide a source that says he left to deal with a divorce. Find a source that says Nauseef joined permanently. Find a source that says Downey quit permanently. Anything you add with no sources will be removed. Whatever kind of Lizzy expert you think you are, you certainly ain't no Wikipedia expert. Why don't we just say something like "appeared on all Thin Lizzy albums". The Sydney DVD does stick out, because "constant member" Downey isn't on it. Ritchie333 ^{(talk) (cont)} 10:13, 20 July 2019 (UTC)

Still think that's nitpicking. That DVD wasn't an official release and didn't emerge till after the band had split up. Downey only missed a few shows, and he was still a member of the band even though he was absent. Missing a show doesn't mean you're not a member any more. Brian Downey (drummer) → Brian Downey – The Thin Lizzy drummer appears to be the primary topic. Brian C. Downey is naturally disambiguated, and while Brian Downey (actor) has done a bit, he's nowhere near as notable as the guy from Dublin; a straight Google search brings up the drummer in at least the first three pages. I got two hits for the actor on the first page of my Google search. I'm not sure that it's sufficient data in either event. More evidence might be warranted. 125.9.31.50 (talk) 15:10, 20 July 2019 (UTC)

• Oppose Here are the pageview stats. The drummer only gets a little more than double the views of the actor, which normally wouldn't be enough to establish a primary topic.
