Who is the Suntory Logo?

edit

Does anyone know who the person on the can is? I think Ernest Hemingway or William Faulkner (http://www.weltchronik.de/bio/cethegus/f/faulkner.jpeg) but I can't confirm. If this information could be added to the article, it would be appreciated. VarunRajendran

He looks a lot like Joseph "Joey" Stalin (http://www.cyberussr.com/rus/stalin/s-pipl.jpg). He has the same thick mustache, and even has the squint. And who was more of a "boss" than Stalin? IceJew 19:17, 21 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

It's no one in particular, straight from the mouth of Suntory: https://news.mynavi.jp/techplus/article/20130505-boss/ 126.216.210.143 (talk) 04:55, 11 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

The Boss W.E.B. (World Executive Blend) is much older than 2007 as I distinctly remember it being available when I went to Tokyo 2 years ago. Bride of lister 08:20, 16 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Faulkner as the logo for boss coffee

edit

The citation for this is extremely poor and does not do anything to substantiate the claim. The sentence should be removed unless a better source is provided. 2603:6000:B201:19A:FC7B:EE71:8B70:C3BA (talk) 04:23, 15 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Agreed, there is absolutely no credible basis for the claim, and I literally found a Japanese article in which Suntory is asked who the BOSS logo is, and it's no one in particular: https://news.mynavi.jp/techplus/article/20130505-boss/ 126.216.210.143 (talk) 04:55, 11 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
