Emo band?

Excuse me but: Can AKFG really be catalogued as a Emo band? I disagree with this statement.

I think they are emo because they influence Japanese emo band Eastern Youth very much.

The band themself have said they perform pop and emo music. From their own description of themselves, this is correct.
