- This source seems to put Arnos Grove tube station in an area called Arnos Grove. Does anyone have a source for the station being in New Southgate? If not, I'll make the relevant changes to the article and use the source above as a reference (it seems to be pretty well researched too). Dark-Fire (talk) 01:35, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- OK, that's long enough. Change made. Dark-Fire (talk) 12:12, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Focus of hate for those living near Southgate, Oakwood and Cockfosters
editWhen operational problems occur on the line, Arnos Grove station may act as a temporary terminus of a reduced service
This puts it very mildly. Trains/drivers seem to terminate here pretty much whenever they fancy it. How about something which conveys its 'hate' status for the many that live near the subsequent three stations and habitually find themselves being dumped on its platforms (for 20mins or more) on freezing cold winter evenings for seemingly no valid reason? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.85.78.89 (talk • contribs) 06:49, Jun 26, 2007(UTC).
- I know some people who really hate Arnos Grove tube station, and who want to stop trains from terminating there. Until around 1997, a much larger proportion of trains terminated there than do now, but a substantial number of trains still do avoid the end of the line. I think a section on the frustration is noteable, but I'm not sure whether or not it is appropriate for an encyclopedia. If such a section does go in the article, I think it is worth pointing out that Southgate, Oakwood and Cockfosters do benifit from terminating trains at Arnos Grove sometimes, like when the Arnos Grove-Cockfosters shuttle service is run due to problems further down the line (a specific example like after the July 7th bombings could be given). How about something in the trivia section? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.85.78.79 (talk • contribs) 08:01, 29 June 2007 BST
- There shouldn't be a trivia section. See WP:TRIVIA. Waggers 07:23, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
