Talk:Antisemitism in Canada

Phoney "Refugees"? Smearing Canada?

edit

Any Jews feeling they need safe haven have always had a clear JEWISH option. The Autonomous Republic of Birobidjan, the First Jewish Homeland the size of Switzerland, in South-East Russia. This is a Jewish ethnic state, surely Jewish leaders have always known about it.

Surely, the vicious smears and slurs against countries Jews deem did not offer them sufficient immigration AT A TIME WHEN THERE WAS NO ALLEGED HOLOCAUST, would have been responsible enough to refer their coreligionists to the First Jewish Homeland, Birobidjan. The existence of which also means that the brutal, 71-year-old ongoing attack of the Zionists against Palestine, mass-murdering the innocent Palestinians, stealing their land, destroying their homes, and sniping their children to death, was all quite unnecessary, if the real motive was indeed a safe harbor for Jews. For more information, search YouTube for Birobidjan, or visit:

In comparison, here's a recent "Gallery" of some of the grisly, ongoing genocidal murders of innocent Palestinians by Zionist Jews, who stole their land while already having a JEWISH HOMELAND, an Autonomous Republic, to go to: https://zionistnarrative.wordpress.com/gallery/

This serious subject deserves a much better treatment than this draft. It currently reads as a scattershot list of anti-Semitic incidents, all of which are a more than half a century old. More recent problems, such as the Ernst Zundel case or anti-Semitism in the ranks of the nascent Reform Party in the 1980s or the arson attack against a Montreal kindergarten in the 2000s, are not there. Beyond that, much of this article is missing citations. Views? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Drinkingbreaker (talkcontribs) 15:53, 6 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Bill C-250

edit

In the section dealing with 1950 to present, there is a sentence reading "With the passage of Bill C-250, despite an exemption clause in the law, there are fears the law could be used against Jews who recite Torah in public, particularly verses condemning homosexual behavior."

I have few concerns with this sentence:

  1. It is not sourced.
  2. It appears to raise WP:UNDUE issues. At this stage, ten years later, is this still an issue of note?
  3. It doesn't say who has raised these fears, and why it specifically applies to the reciting of the Torah and not other religious activities or statements.
  4. More importantly, how does Bill C-250 constitute antisemitism? How are Jews being targeted? How are Jews being treated by the legislation any differently than other Canadians? --Skeezix1000 (talk) 18:19, 25 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

re Often owners and managers displayed signs such as “Gentiles Only,” or “No Jews or Dogs Allowed.”

Irrelevant and antisemitic content here on this talk page

edit

The first comment on this page entitled Phoney "Refugees"? Smearing Canada? seems out of place

It is not clear how this comment is relevant to the subject of this page.

This comment throws doubt on the Holocaust ("ALLEGED HOLOCAUST"), which is itself an example of antisemitic speech. Whether the poster is in Canada is unknown as the comment is anonymous. The documentation of the holocaust is so extensive as to be irrefutable as readers of Wikipedia can readily ascertain.. Anyone throwing doubt on the occurrence of the Holocaust is either deceived or a deceiver.

Birobidjan was a Soviet sponsored place where Jews were never the majority. Jews were not free to practice their religion and it was in no way an alternative as a safe haven to the State of Israel.

What are the rules for removing irrelevant and hateful content of this type from the talk page? Droytenberg (talk) 17:39, 11 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
