Ancestry

Hello. Unsure if this is the right spot for this, but me and fellow editor Jingiby have a disagreement over whether a person with mixed ancestry can be in a list of Macedonian Americans. Would appreciate input from other editors, whoever is available and free. StephenMacky1 (talk) 12:48, 12 April 2025 (UTC)

In my opinion, people who are half Macedonian could be mentioned in the article, although this is not entirely accurate, because they are of mixed origin. But people who have a partial Macedonian origin of 1/4 and below should not be included here. These are the typical Americans people, who are not just any other then Americans. The idea that being Macedonian (or German, or Jewish, or ...) is determined by the "blood" of a person seems pretty fringe. WP follows WP:RS. So the question is whether there are reliable sources calling that person "Macedonian American". Rsk6400 (talk) 06:54, 13 April 2025 (UTC)

Nope, there is only a source about her ancestry. I could not find any source about her belonging to a specific diaspora group. Thank you for your input. StephenMacky1 (talk) 08:14, 13 April 2025 (UTC)

Andh probably needs major changes

I stumbled upon the article about the Andh people while on my Scheduled Tribes rabbit hole dive and cannot make sense of it. It has no sections, bad grammar and strange claims like "They called themselves Tribals (??) and are relatively well progressed in education". I tried to amend the bad grammar problem, but have next to no knowledge on the topic (as well as general Wikipedia editing) and don't want to ruin the page further, so I'd like to request anyone with experience to take a look at the page. 11-year-old POV tag

We've been talking about articles with long-standing POV tags at the village pump. There are only three such articles related to this group:

• Race in horror films (March 2018)
• Indigenous education (August 2019)
• Slovakization (June 2014) (the oldest tag is just in the section linked above; there's a newer one for the rest of the article)

Could you all please look into the situation with these articles? There are about 225 articles from the previous decade left in Category:Wikipedia neutral point of view disputes, and it would be nice to clear out some of these old backlogs. WhatamIdoing (talk) 19:28, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
