– The basketball coach's page is viewed far more than the others' - given that this Andy Kennedy is the only one still active in their field, I see no reason that this is likely to change anytime soon, either. fuzzy510 (talk) 16:33, 2 April 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. {{ping|ClydeFranklin}} (t/c) 17:48, 9 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose. No primary topic here given there are two top-tier British footballers by that name. Currently being active is not a criterion for primary topic status. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:20, 5 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
The argument isn't that one is currently active, that was just context for why I didn't think we were suddenly going to get a seismic shift in the number of pageviews. Even going off of the whole year, and not cherry-picking this time of year, where men's college basketball is of particular interest in the United States and these numbers are going to skew upwards, the coach is getting nearly 15 times the looks that the rest of the topics are combined. fuzzy510 (talk) 16:13, 5 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
It is fairly obvious that a currently active sportsperson is going to get more pageviews than people who were active before the internet age. But he certainly does not have more long-term significance than two footballers who between them had well over 300 appearances for top-level clubs. Notability is not just about pageviews. -- Necrothesp (talk) 11:00, 6 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Their notability is not in question here - if it was, I'd be taking the other two pages to AfD instead of discussing a WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. All I'm pointing out is that the basketball coach is far more likely to be the item that users are searching for - this is show by pageviews, and the fact that his page is linked to by 10 times more Mainspace pages than either of the other two.
I recognize that the other two pages are ntoable, but neither is notable enough to be the likely result of a user's query. -fuzzy510 (talk) 15:00, 6 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
There are two criteria for primary topic: pageviews, which he meets (naturally, as he's still active and Americans like basketball), and long-term significance, which he does not. Solely using your criterion, almost any sportsperson who is still active would take primary topic status over those who are not, but that's not how WP:PRIMARYTOPIC works. I should also point out that most non-Americans have no interest in or knowledge of college basketball whatsoever. College sport is an American phenomenon and we would not consider a college coach to be more significant than two professional top-tier footballers with many appearances under their belts. -- Necrothesp (talk) 16:08, 6 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose until there is overwhelming page view support.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 20:41, 6 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Support Why is only last year shown? Seeing this spring. I realize that when basketball is getting viewed during march madness, this guy will get a lot more views. This will happen repeatedly.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 23:53, 6 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Support, but merge the current disambiguation page to Andrew Kennedy. All of the subjects named "Andy Kennedy" except the basketball coach are indicated in their respective articles to have some variation of "Andrew Kennedy" as their full name. BD2412 T 21:11, 9 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
