I have deleted the link in this article from varnished medium to Jacques Maroger. The link is now from varnished to varnish. With all respect to Maroger's expertise, it would not be NPOV to make him synonymous with varnished medium. -InvisibleSun, 9/1/05

I've recently uploaded 19 new high-resolution images of artwork by this artist from Google Art Project at commons:Category:Google Art Project works by Aelbert Cuyp. Please have a look and feel free to use any that are useful.. Dcoetzee 23:51, 6 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Not a member of the High Court of Holland

edit

Though the source for the claim that Cuyp was a member of the High Court of Holland indeed mentions this "fact"( National gallery page about Aelbert Cuyp) this is one case where we cannot trust the National Gallery. I looked at the database about members of the Court and there is no one mentioned with his name. The closest is Petrus Josephus Cuypers. This online database is very authoritative. There is no other bibliographic source I could find for the claim on the National Gallery page (which is unsourced) so I think it is best to remove the claim (though I have left the rest of the section in place).--Ereunetes (talk) 19:50, 12 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
