Arctic feed edit

Does APTN have any "local" programming on their Arctic feed, similar to what CBC North has? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kmorrow (talkcontribs) 20:40, 19 January 2007

Fair use rationale for Image:APTN Rev2.png edit

Image:APTN Rev2.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 17:15, 31 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Aptn tv.gif edit

Image:Aptn tv.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

URL in infobox edit

I have changed the infobox to display the URL of the website, as per the discussion at User talk:RFBailey#APTN and User talk:Emarsee#URLs (as well as the sample usage of {{Infobox Broadcast}}). --RFBailey (talk) 01:51, 8 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Distribution edit

Regarding the delineation of the east/west feeds, the Ontario/Manitoba border is the actual delineation of the feeds. --APTN (talk) 14:53, 31 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

The three standard feeds are different time zones. The east feed is based on the eastern time zone, the west feed is based on the mountain time zone and the north feed is based on the central time zone. --APTN (talk) 14:57, 31 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Does having one actor with a very small amount of native blood in their ancestry make an entire movie native programming? Speed or Girl Interrupted for example which I have seen on this channel

As far as the network is concerned, it's evidently enough for their needs. Wikipedia is not the place, however, to debate that. Bearcat (talk) 17:58, 10 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
Possibly worth bringing up if there was any notable criticism of this in a reliable source. The above sounds worse than Pahkitew Island getting aired for having a Cree-speaking starlet and Cree-named initial teams even though it otherwise focuses little on it. 64.228.91.102 (talk) 14:17, 12 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

APTN Kids edit

I redirected this to a section on the page and have moved everything appropriate there I could find. I wonder if perhaps this has the potential to grow into its own article though. It even has its own logo as seen on different backgrounds here and here.

Sometimes programming blocks on a channel have their own articles. This is the case with Bionix or Teletoon at Night so why not this? Ranze (talk) 04:10, 7 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

CHTY-TV and CHWT-TV edit

I don't believe these transmitters are still operational. Doing a search for these transmitters in the Industry Canada Database yields no results. I'm not sure when APTN shuttered these transmitters as I can't seem to locate a CRTC decision on eliminating these. I do know that many low power ones were shuttered in August 2011 Bigoranget (talk) 20:21, 24 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
