Hello again, Yanni. I read your message, and I sympathize with what you said. Obviously RL takes precedence, and editing in WP is certainly both a time- and sometimes nerve-consuming exercise. I also try to limit myself to editing, but it is not always possible, alas... Anyhow, on the two topics you mentioned, as I said some months ago, I'd be willing to help with the Greek War of Independence article, however my sources at the moment are limited. I'll try to get the maps I promised them moving, but my schedule is highly irregular, which unfortunately also precludes any promise on collaboration... Anyhow, I would love to work with you on some articles, esp. modern Greek history ones, which are badly neglected. I do intend to resume the translation of Greece in the Balkan Wars from the corresponding French article soon, if you are interested in checking it from time to time and offer some suggestions or criticism, it'd be welcome! Σχετικά με το άρθρο για το λιμό που μου έγραψες: Εντάξη, παραδέχομαι ότι δεν τους πολυχωνεύω αλλά δεν είναι πρόθεσή μου να γράψω κανένα λίβελο, που ούτως ή άλλως δε θα μπορούσε να σταθεί, πόσο μάλλον να έχει πιθανότητες DYK. Απλώς απ'ότι παραδέχονται και οι ίδιοι, αυτοί κυρίως τον προκαλέσανε και με βάση αυτό, είπα ότι είπα στο Κων/νο. Στοίχισε πολλές ζωές στην Ελλάδα αυτή η φάση και εάν το είχαμε κάνει εμείς σ'αυτούς δε νομίζω ότι θα δείχναν το παραμικρό τακτ ως προς τη δημοσιοποίησή του, όποτε με ενοχλεί που δεν υπάρχει καν άρθρο σχετικά. Το ιδανικό θα ήταν να γραφεί ένα αψεγάδιαστο άρθρο έτσι ώστε να έχει DYK πιθανότητες, και προς αυτή τη κατεύθυνση το ανέφερα στο Κων/νο, που ανεξαρτήτως διαφωνιών, είναι ομολογουμένως από τους καλύτερους έντιτορς που έχουμε. Και μιάς και παρενέβεις κι εσύ, από πλευράς υπολοίησης και από συμβουλευτικής πλευράς, ακόμα καλύτερα θα ήταν και η δική συμμετοχη (το διάβασα δεν έχεις χρόνο). Σκέπτομαι να το αρχίσω τη βδομάδα που μας έρχεται. Θα ενημερώσω σχετικά. Άσχετο: αν και δε θέλω να πηγαίνω πίσω σε περασμένες και ξεχασμένες ιστορίες θα με ενδιέφερε να μάθω αν τελικά μπόρεσες να βρείς και να διαβάσεις το "Athenian Memories" του Compton Mackenzie, μου είχες πει παλιά ότι θα το έψαχνες. - I see you are also an adm. Concerning my protection: I only blocked anonymous IPs and newly registered users. Established users, as you know, are not influenced by my protection, namely most of WP users. I appreciate the fact that you keep a close eye on it, but I do not understand why you want to revert any anonymous IP decides to vandalize the page in 10, 20, 30, 50 minutes etc? And what happens when you go to sleep? It is the lowest level of protection, and is active only for a week with the sole purpose to disourage all these anonymous IPs, and distract their attention from the article. So, I do not see the problem.
- But, anyway, if you disagree with me or if I miss something, please, feel free to explain to me. And, since you are also an adm, and you say that you keep a close eye on the article, I have no reason not to trust you, and, if you insist on removing my protection, I will. - Well I tried a similar strategy on United Kingdom general election, 2010 and it seemed to work- keep a very close eye on it, create an editnotice, block vandals on sight... - Ha! Ha! Alexikoua had asked me the same thing recently. Well, the honest answer is that I do not know! Maybe! By the way, χίλια χρόνια θα ζήσεις! When you edited my talk page, I was reading your list with your articles related to the Greek War of Independence, and I remembered we had some high ambitions about this article. I may return, Constantine, more actively. We'll see ... But it is really impressive that, as I just saw, I am still receiving barnstars, even when I am inactive!
- By the way, how are you? I see that your barnstars are getting more and more. This shows to me that the Community gradually realizes that you are one of its greatest editors. And I am happy that you keep an eye on the Roman-Persian Wars article!--Yannismarou (talk) 19:03, 11 September 2010 (UTC)

- Thanks, Constantine. To be honest, I worked a bit on Wikipedia, because I was sick today, and I had a looot of free time at home to spend. From tv to the internet and from the internet to tv! But, I had the opportunity to talk with you, and this is really great, and rewarding! I understand this ξενέρωμα you say; I have felt it more than once. But you always keept a distance from everything ugly going on here, and you knew how to do it nicely and with style! I wish I had followed your example from my first day in Wikipedia. Anyway ... If I come back to work here, I think that Greek War of Independence is probably going to be my first priority. I also have to update some of my old FAs. Ypsilantis' excommunication
The encyclicals were issued in March and the excommunication was pronounced on Palm Sunday (15 April?), so it may be confusing for the relevant sentence to be placed so early. I guess it would be more suitable between the second and the third paragraph.

- I share your worry about the article's size, but I beg to differ, as I think of it as too important to be ommitted.
- Well, according to the sources that I cited when I added the relevant info, the Church's stance was indeed "anti-Revolution". Please check Koliopoulos-Veremis, Greece: the Modern Sequel, pp. 143-144 and Clogg's article to verify that "the movement of the Greek independence could not possibly have been welcome to Church leaders". The speculation of a minor IMHO scholar, as Arnakis, about the fear of possible retaliation being -correct me if I am wrong- the only motive of the denounce of the Revolution on behalf of the Orthodox Church, is not consistent with the long history of obedience to Ottoman rule and earlier dismissal of the ideals that the revolutionaries were propagating. I do not deny that the Patriarch being millet bashi would have possibly been aware of and taken into account the aforementioned danger, but I do not consider this a necessary cause for the decision to anathematize Ipsilantis & Co. to be taken. - What earlier historians failed to consider -and what Clogg along with Koliopoulos&Veremis pointed- was that before trying to find possible motives for Church's openly anti-Revolution acts that were not in accordance with its supposed pro-Revolution feelings, we should address the question of whether it could have possibly had such feelings -which it could have not.

Article of Andre Geim, winner of Nobel Prize
Hi, I am a foreigner and a simple reader of Wikipedia. Thank you very much for your job. Frankly say, Editing article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andre_Geim, is in a wrong way, by colluding of some editors and admins there. Their IDs are: Therexbanner, Gladsmile, Narking, Christopher Connor, RobertMfromLI, NickCT, Beetstra, 7. These Users are trying by reverting correct edits of the article, and doing a sort of anagram and "misusing" information in sources, show Mr. Andre Geim (winner of 2010 Nobel Prize in Physics) is not a Jewish and he has another ethnic. They seem like pure (but a bit hidden)vandalism. All correct RS sources, like:

clearly show that Mr. Andre Geim is a Jewish (he repeatedly mentioned about his Jewishness, [subject of self-identification]) in ethnical point of view and his family was originated from Germany(he also several times mentioned that his family are German [origin]). Nowadays German is a general word, which could means: Citizenship, Nationality, Origin, residentship, and so on. When Geim is taking about German being of his family, clearly and logically he talks about their origin before emigration to Russia. There is the same situation about Richard Feynman: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Feynman. By the way in a reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Andre_Geim_interview_to_Yedioth_Ahronoth,_Oct_15_2010,_p._25.jpg, (that several times misused by above Users) Geim also said a story concerning Jewishness (clearly in religious point of view) of his grandmother, that of course it doesn’t mean that only his grandmother was a Jewish. Now in article as I checked the history of the article, above Users by reverting the correct edits there, try to present and show by their wrong way Mr. Geim an “ethnic” German person. The point is that in any RS sources, Geim hasn’t say that he has such ethnic, and he never used word “ethnic” there. Andre Geim won the Nobel Prize in the beginning of October; unfortunately, right after his winning until now, above Users kept the text of the article in a wrong position. In any case, if you have time, please check this Users carefully. By the way USER:Gladsmile, repeatedly reverted and undid the edits there, without any explanation(even wrong one).
