editHi Wikidrifterr! I noticed that you recently marked your edit as minor when you deleted a chunk of cited text from the Economy of Bihar. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Your edit was clearly not a minor edit. Thank you. -- Toddy1 (talk) 17:44, 2 October 2023 (UTC)
Your edit to the Economy of Bihar deleted a lot of cited text with the explanation in your edit summary removed data with incorrect citations
. You need to explain this on the article talk page, and get agreement for this edit before it can be accepted.-- Toddy1 (talk) 17:44, 2 October 2023 (UTC)

editHello, I'm Sumanuil. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Uttar Pradesh have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. - Sumanuil. Favoured versus favored
editThe words "favoured" and "favored" mean the same thing.
- "favoured" is English
- "favored" is American English
If you are writing about the U.S.A. please use the American English spelling. If you are writing about the rest of the world, please use the English spelling. See MOS:ENGVAR.-- Toddy1 (talk) 09:10, 23 November 2023 (UTC) It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. —Compassionate727 (T·C) 22:53, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, I have reversed a couple of spelling changes you made to the articles on Beowulf and River Cuckmere. Both subjects are connected to the United Kingdom, so British English should be used. TSventon (talk) 03:09, 24 January 2024 (UTC)

editHello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page Borjigin has an edit summary that appears to be inadequate, inaccurate, or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. Thank you. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 03:16, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Association football, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 03:35, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at K. Annamalai, you may be blocked from editing. Curbon7 (talk) 04:47, 24 January 2024 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
editYou have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template. El_C 06:23, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, Wikidrifterr. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page K. Annamalai, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. El_C 06:18, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hey El C, just wanted to let you know this user has already had a CT alert [1], a couple of weeks ago. They've blanked their talk page since - so you couldn't necessarily be expected to see it - but I wanted to let you know in case it changed what you meant to say to them. . Doug Weller talk 17:11, 24 January 2024 (UTC)Hello, Wikidrifterr
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Dclemens1971, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Shamli Gorakhpur Expressway, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.
If you wish to contest the deletion:
- Edit the page
- Remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- Click the button.
If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Dclemens1971}}
. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!
