Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Viki-BSU. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 10:38, 6 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

If "Viki" means "Wiki", you will need to change your username as usernames cannot be the name of any organization("BSU" is Baku State University, I assume). Usernames must indicate that a specific individual is using this account(using your real name is not required). Please visit either Special:GlobalRenameRequest or WP:CHUS to make a username change request. 331dot (talk) 10:40, 6 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Eldaniz Mammadov edit

The article Eldaniz Mammadov has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:BIO

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. gnu57 22:02, 18 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Eldaniz Mammadov moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Eldaniz Mammadov, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be reliably referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption and avoid it being nominated for deletion. For academics, Wikipedia's general notability guideline are generally less relevant than these subject specific guidelines. If and when the draft clearly shows his notability using reliable independent sources and you believe it ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ~Hydronium~Hydroxide~(Talk)~ 01:28, 24 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your help, of course. But I have and sources are shown there. For example, I refer to the page of the Baku State University (bsu.edu.az) and to the http://www.admiu.edu.az/en.php . Please look at the References. If you think that a university with a 100 year old is not a true-to-life resource, you can even delete this page. Even on "Research papers" you can check all the journals at https://www.issn.org
Thank you for your attention. If you can help, help fix what you think is wrong.Viki-BSU (talk) 07:01, 24 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
There are broadly two ways that a biographical article can remain in mainspace. The first is to show significant coverage in independent secondary sources (own work is primary and employer-based sources are not independent); I don't believe that this avenue (WP:GNG) can be met. The second way is to show that a subject-specific notability guideline is met. In his case that would be WP:ACADEMIC (although for academics occasionally other criteria may provide alternatives). Please review that, as I don't believe that any of the criteria are fulfilled, but if they are then his article should clearly expresss why he is notable rather than just accomplished to some level. ~Hydronium~Hydroxide~(Talk)~ 06:38, 25 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Eldaniz Mammadov, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Speedy deletion nomination of Eldaniz Mammadov edit

A tag has been placed on Eldaniz Mammadov requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". A tag has been placed on Eldaniz Mammadov, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
