Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Venk Sitaraman requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion nomination of Venk Sitaraman edit

Hello Venk3738,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Venk Sitaraman for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

March 2018 edit

  Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but it appears you have written or added to an article about yourself, at Venk Sitaraman. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of Venk Sitaraman edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Venk Sitaraman requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

April 2018 edit

  Hello, I'm Muhandes. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, R. Srinivasan (businessman), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please stick to facts that have a source Muhandes (talk) 10:21, 1 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

There is an independent source in the article which says he is an alumni of University of Madras. Please stop changing this information unless you have an independent source of higher quality which says otherwise. --Muhandes (talk) 16:10, 1 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Venk3738. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article PSG College of Technology, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Muhandes (talk) 16:04, 1 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Capitalization edit

Please see MOS:JOBTITLES and MOS:CAPS in general. Best regards. --Muhandes (talk) 20:21, 1 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Capitalisation in section headings. edit

Hi there, re: these edits, in section headings, we use "Sentence case" not "Title Case". Please note the difference. So "Early Life and Education" would be incorrect. "Early life and education" would be correct. See MOS:HEAD. Additionally, please don't add unsourced content as you did with regard to her undergraduate degree. That sort of thing needs to be supported by reliable sources. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 21:11, 24 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

More problematic edits edit

These edits are problematic for three reasons:

  1. Chennaivision.com is a faceless blog. We don't use content from blogs. See our reliable sourcing guidelines.
  2. You can't copy content verbatim from other sources, or even closely paraphrase as you did. Copyright violations and plagiarism won't be tolerated.
  3. We don't need to indicate every Indian celebrity by nicknames or initialisms. This isn't a cutesy social media site, it's an encyclopedia.

Please adjust accordingly. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 21:53, 24 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

June 2020 edit

  Please do not add or change content, as you did at Priya Bhavani Shankar, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Diffs: [1] Unsourced birth dates are likely to violate the subject's privacy. See WP:BLPPRIVACY. In general, don't add anything unless you have a quality reference, please. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 22:46, 26 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
