Your comment on the article I created "Spain at the UEFA European Football Championship‎"

Thanks a lot for the feedback, it is highly appreciated! I found it about time that this article would be created. Of course it can be further extended with, for instance, some prose and the top scorer list of Spain at the European Championship. Feel free to do so. :) Regards, Kareldorado (talk) 11:13, 14 August 2014 (UTC)

You're welcome too. Hope you continue enjoying to edit articles and create new ones! :D Romtamtalk 11:18, 14 August 2014 (UTC)

the earlier changes.

I just felt the need to respond to the violent defamation of East Slavic history that occured on the Wikipedia link about Yaroslav the Wise. The main link used as a proof for that alleged Viking classification is highly unreliable because the author of the book Companion to the Calendar: A Guide to the Saints and Mysteries of the Christian Calendar is a well known slavophobe.Mary Ellen Hynes also lacks the most basic knowledge of the Rus state and its rulers yet she dares to classify them as Scandinavians even though these rulers were adherents of the Slavic politheistic religion and later on of Orthodox christianity.

Slavic people are not asking for special treatment, they just want an objective representation of their history on the pages of Wikipedia.

this part is off topic.Rurik might have been a Varangian,a Wagrian or a Finnic tribal chieftain but for some reason(without historic consent)Germanic writers and historians are classifying him and his descendants as mainly Scandinavian? Why is that allowed?First of all,Rurikids were fanatical followers of the Rodnovery(statues of Slavic gods found and Greek-Rus treaties described the naming process of several Rus leaders and their druzhinas being conducted under the protection of Perun and Svarog)

One thing that i know about Scandinavian people from that age is that they were fanatical followers of their religion(they would have never abandoned their gods in favour of a fruitful position in a distant land),they proved that with constant battles against the christian forces in the 9th,10th,11th and 12th century).

Please sir, could you bring back my minor change to that page.I am just doing this in the name of history and objectivity(and i am sorry for missing the part where i had to write an explanation for my editing process)

(talk page stalker) @Tvrtkothefirst: Wikipedia goes by what reliable sources report. National Geographic certainly is such a reliable source. If other reliable sources explicitly dispute that claim, you should present them. Do not simply remove well-sourced content. Huon (talk) 15:47, 24 August 2014 (UTC)
Same as @Huon: said. Also, next time after your message please sign your message with ~~~~. RomtamTalkToMe 15:52, 24 August 2014 (UTC)

I find it highly disturbing that a writer who focused her studies on the history of christian holidays calendars would dare to write anything about a complicated subject such as the Early Rus state. Not even historians who spend their entire lives studying this subject would dare to write such informations.Anyone with basic knowledge of the early Rus would call these men as Variags,Wagrians or Varangians. All the theories of the Rurikid ancestry are labeled as disputed for a good reason(historians lack the proof to finalise their enigmatic origin).

Another thing,National Geographic produces magazines that need to sell in order to make money.Vikings, are profitable and likeable. And it is not like National Geographic could make a mistake.

The part where it says that he is the son of a Varangian(viking) Grand Prince Vladimir the Great is ironic if anyone even read anything about Vladimir the Great. The man was an almost fanatical follower of the Rodnovery.Sure,he had distant cousins in the North but does that mean that he is Scandinavian just because his ancestors intermarried with a foreign family?

Again, provide reliable sources. Without them, your opinion is no more relevant than mine, that is, not relevant at all. Huon (talk) 16:52, 24 August 2014 (UTC)

Dragonology

Yes they were test edits but that article actually is a shitty article. It fails highly to distinguish fact from fiction. A novel about "dragonology" isn't "non fiction". I've read it myself, the book is totally bogus. 71.85.48.131 (talk) 04:02, 25 August 2014 (UTC)

@71.85.48.131: It is really inappropriate to tag an article with a lot of tags and section stubs. Anyone is OK to tag some if that tag is appropriate for the article, but you tagged all the sections and all the tags. It is very hard for readers to read and improvement. I hope you understand this. Thank you. RomtamTalkToMe 04:06, 25 August 2014 (UTC)

Your request for rollback

Hi Romtam. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! — MusikAnimal talk 23:14, 28 August 2014 (UTC)

Hey Romtam, one thing: try not to use sup tags in your sig. While not explicitly prohibited at WP:SIGPOL, it causes a slight change in the text around it in that the next row of text up is slightly higher. Just wanted to point that out. Happy editing! Already have here. Don't worry, I'll get there.Mirror Freak 12:50, 29 August 2014 (UTC)
@MirrorFreak: I admire your dedication toward achieving your goals, but I just want you to know that not having rollback does not make you any less of an editor. Users with hundreds of thousands of edits and high respect from the community may have no additional rights whatsoever, solely because they don't need them. That's all rollback is – a tool, not a "status". If you show a need for the tool and exemplify that you won't misuse it you will easily be granted the right. Glad to see you've enrolled at CVU/A. Your mentor will help you better understand the difference between good-faith and bad-faith edits, which I think you may have had trouble with. If after finishing the program you decide you'd like to continue fighting vandalism, give it a little time of patrolling on your own and then reapply at WP:PERM/R. Thanks for helping keep Wikipedia tidy :) — MusikAnimal talk 14:44, 29 August 2014 (UTC)
@MusikAnimal: Totally agreed. Thanks for replying here! Cheers, RomtamTalkToMe 14:48, 29 August 2014 (UTC)

Improper edit

Romtam, I received your message regarding my edit to Stock character. I am very disappointed that you failed to validate my edit for yourself, and instead marked it as vandalism. If you were to check the reference given by the original author, as I did, you would see that my "undo" edit corrects the inappropriate change made by the anonymous editor before me. Please check this for yourself, and restore the page back to its correct direct quote of the cited reference. Christopher.ursich (talk) 13:07, 29 August 2014 (UTC)

@Christopher.ursich: That was my fault. For some reason, the edit summary didn't show that time. I'm sorry. RomtamTalkToMe 14:13, 29 August 2014 (UTC)
@Christopher.ursich: Further, I have added a hidden comment to prevent people from deleting that again. RomtamTalkToMe 14:20, 29 August 2014 (UTC)

Additionally, IPBE? RomtamTalkToMe 06:18, 3 September 2014 (UTC)
At the moment, I don't think IPBE is necessary, however if there are further problems with being caught in autoblocks or range blocks, then you may need to given IPBE. PhilKnight (talk) 06:59, 3 September 2014 (UTC)

There is nothing wrong with the recent edit I made

I know nonconstructive edit when I see one, and I found nothing wrong with it, unless there were grammatical errors or it was out of context. What do you find wrong with it? 121.172.80.186 (talk) 02:02, 4 September 2014 (UTC)

I'm in an autoblock. I would call that a AGF edit because the style isn't great but it is constructive. Feel free to remove that notice from your talk page. Sorry! Thanks, RomtamTalkToMe 02:28, 4 September 2014 (UTC)

Request reason:

My schoolmate knew that I had a Wikipedia account, and so decided to vandalize my user page and he was blocked indef by PhilKnight. However, as we were both using school computers, and it is a static IP, I was autoblocked for the second time. But today, GorillaWarfare extended the block to two weeks, and removed my rollback right. (The IP is 61.90.150.20) I am not using multiple accounts. This is a misunderstanding that arose as a result of a schoolmate vandalising my user page from the same IP range. I apologise for the inconvenience but would like to have the block lifted and would like to request IP block exemption and have my rollback right re-added. If I'm unblocked, I would continue vandalism patrolling as I do before. Thank you for your time. RomtamTalkToMe 14:17, 4 September 2014 (UTC)

Decline reason:

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You also lied to us last night about the chain of events that happened. You told me you went back to class after assisting him in the creation of the account, but later said you saw him vandalize a second time. Also there is no indication at all that your IP is shared or is a school, speaking from both the WHOIS and CU information. You also had a stellar 24 second revert time in this instance, while on a computer using the same operating system, just a different web browser. To really top this all off, you told us several times last night that you did know this person in real life. So why does it look like you don't here? I think this is sufficient to say we aren't getting the true story, though I could go on.
My recommendation to you is that you take this as it is, and move on. Come back when your unblocked, and continue. This is something you can work by and move forward from. It shows character when you rough the waves out and continue on. That would be my recommendation. -- DQ (ʞlɐʇ) 15:41, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
Further suspicious stuff: Romtam interacting with the IP that he is editing from, according to the screenshot Romtam previously provided. OhNoitsJamie Talk 15:46, 4 September 2014 (UTC) Oops, missed that. Thanks. OhNoitsJamie Talk 17:56, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
@Ohnoitsjamie: The screenshot only shows Romtam viewing the user talk page for that IP address; it does not identify the IP address as Romtam's. GorillaWarfare (talk) 17:48, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
@DeltaQuad: Just wanted to point out that Romtam has TC-RC-Bot on their personal IRC channel(##Romtam connect) and I'm pretty sure it's watching Romtam's userpage, and because the page "User:Romtam" contains Romtam's IRC nick, whenever there's a change to their userpage and TC-RC-Bot reports it it pings Romtam on IRC.
