Regarding your submission

edit

Your submission consists of multiple blunders. It is against Wikipedia's set of regulations to copyright information from a website, moreover your own homepage. However, the problem lies here, you cannot "copy-then-paste" exactly the words on the homepage and onto your submission. Our copyright scans will pick it up, and the scan here shows a confidence of 90% similarity. Sourcing your own homepage as reference would be what we call as WP:PRIMARY SOURCE. Instead, cite third party sources: mainstream publication, magazines, newspapers and books. These are called third party sources, meaning they are not affiliated with the organisation. And if you wanna have exact same content with a website(never your homepage), you must rewrite it in your own words.

Another thing is that your writing tone is promotional as in intentionally advertising the topic to readers. Hence, you will have to rewrite many parts of your article. Generally, for companies/organisations, topics like vision, mission, business strategies are not included. While your Accession and Membership section is promotional. You even included How to join? to the section. I've deleted the sections considered promotional by Wikipedian standards. Please do not add them back as your submission will be deleted if promotional content is present.

You can browse for organisations of similar structure on Wikipedia and take them as a rough guide. Sections you can include in your submission e.g. background, history, current affairs. If any questions persist, you can post a query on the helpdesk (link on declination banner at your submission). EROS message 12:36, 27 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Open ROADS Community

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Open ROADS Community, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hello, Spenserblank. Thank you for helping to build Wikipedia-- the world's largest free content encyclopedia. I'm sorry, but  Draft:Open ROADS Community has been deleted as meeting WP:CSD#G11. "This applies to pages that are exclusively promotional and would need to be fundamentally rewritten to conform with Wikipedia:NOTFORPROMOTION." These must be rewritten from scratch from "reliable, third party sources unconnected to the subject." See WP:RS.

Wikipedia:Identifying blatant advertising#Typical signs of blatant advertising contains information about content to avoid. For more information on content that may be perceived as promotional, click User:Dlohcierekim/promo. These are just rough guides. Pages can avoid all those pitfalls and still be glaringly obvious ad copy. Sometimes pages meeting WP:CSD#G11 give the appearance of an editor violating Wikipedia:Conflict of interest or WP:PAID. Please read and heed them if they apply to you. Please read Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources that are unconnected with the subject and providing verifiable information. That generally means someone unconnected with the subject needs to have written a great deal about the subject. Please see Wikipedia:Citing sources . Template:cite has templates you can use in citing your sources. Place the template {{references}} at the bottom of the page, and references cited in the text will appear there.

If you want to try again, please use the Article Wizard or articles for creation to guide you through the creation process. The new user tutorial can help you avoid future problems.

You may find this tool useful: Google custom search Don't feel discouraged. My first attempts at creating articles were deleted too.

There is more information at Wikipedia:Community portal. There is help available at THE TEAHOUSE. Cheers, and happy editing. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 19:07, 29 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
