The Departed

edit

Film plots should be limited to 700 words. See MOS:PLOTLENGTH. Your edits have been saved in the wp:page history. Please consider shortening the plot. Thank you Adakiko (talk) 04:43, 4 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Plot summaries

edit

This is your second notice regarding plot summary length. Your recent edit at Top Gun added 47 words to a plot description that was already over the limit (you increased it from 713 to 760). Please take opportunities like this instead to shorten long summaries and make them more concise. Per WP:FILMPLOT, we should keep them between 400 and 700 words in length. Thank you. -- GoneIn60 (talk) 03:31, 26 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Sorry GoneIn60. While i am busy with studies, I will try and shorten it whenever i can.
have a nice day.
Regards,
ShaneSim76 ShaneSim76 (talk) 05:08, 26 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Good to hear; it would be appreciated. I trimmed this one down to 678. --GoneIn60 (talk) 07:19, 26 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In your recent edit to U.S. Marshals (film), you added links to an article which did not add content or meaning, or repeated the same link several times throughout the article. Please see Wikipedia's guideline on links to avoid overlinking. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 16:05, 9 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please do not use misleading edit summaries when making changes to Wikipedia pages, as you did to The X-Files. This behavior is viewed as disruptive, and continuation may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. CastJared (talk) 09:50, 8 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Oh really? Sorry, let me correct it when i have the time. Can you pint out the mistakes i made in the X-Files? ShaneSim76 (talk) 06:07, 13 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In your multiple edits to The Blacklist, you have included repetitive phrases to the article which may fail MOS:CAPITAL and sometimes make the whole sentence the phrase is inserted into inaccurate in terms of prose. Moreover, your edits have caused a dispute between you and Debresser which can be treated as an edit war and make the article unstable. That way, it does not comply with good article criteria and will make it difficult to process the article for GA. Please do not use capitalisation in case you doubt the word has to be capitalised. Thank you. -Eagowl (talk) 06:06, 20 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Really? I was unaware. I apologize for my errors. Please allow me to rectify them when I get the opportunity if its ok with you. ShaneSim76 (talk) 06:08, 13 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited White Collar (TV series), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Art crime. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:03, 21 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Already correct the art crimes part. Thanks for reminding me. ShaneSim76 (talk) 06:10, 13 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Overlinking

edit

Hi ShaneSim76, I undid your edit to Choo-Choo Charles, since you just added unnecessary wikilinks. To understand the subject of the video game Choo-Choo Charles, the reader doesn't need a bluelink to monster hunting, which redirects to Cryptozoology, or machine gun or mining company. We just link to articles that are relevant in the context of an article. For instance, there's an article on the word "the", but we don't link to that either, since it's not a linguistic article. Hope this helps. Thanks, and happy editing. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 19:30, 23 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Right sorry about that. I always keep forgetting. Is there any other corrections your need me to make? ShaneSim76 (talk) 02:32, 24 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Sherlock Holmes (2009 film). Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Please be more mindful of your tendency to WP:OVERLINK; you've now been advised about this multiple times.   Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Jason Bourne (film), you may be blocked from editing. I noticed that you have been repeatedly asked, and subsequently warned, about WP:OVERLINKing. You do not seem to get the message. I urge you to stop doing that. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 06:21, 14 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please, stop linking to common terms in plot summaries. Give WP:OVERLINK a read, which is a guideline part of our Manual of Style that recommends against linking to common terms. —El Millo (talk) 18:37, 18 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
