Proposed deletion of Jayne MacDonald edit

The article Jayne MacDonald has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Wikipedia:"Murder of" articles would not normally have a page for the victim unless separately notable

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — billinghurst sDrewth 02:44, 9 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Pheasantry Brewery edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Pheasantry Brewery, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. CUPIDICAE💕 16:02, 6 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

A suggestion edit

I'm all in favour of more articles about beers, breweries and brewing but take a look at the rewrite of Welbeck Abbey Brewery against the deleted version you wrote. Apart from the prose style e.g. not bullet points look at the content- it's now about the breweries history not a list of products which looks and reads more easily and doesn't sound as ad-ish. I do understand your frustrations and why you think someone was being trigger-happy about tagging your efforts but a slight rethink on how you put things across will work wonders. John Darrell of Retford moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, John Darrell of Retford, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. I appreciate the effort that you put into this, but when I came across it it was still full of unsourced material and/or material sourced to primary sources or otherwise unreliable sources. If you wish to create a page about that company, I strongly suggest you start from scratch, and use only independent reliable sources; and if there's not enough material in these, it's likely the company isn't quite notable enough for Wikipedia at the moment. Thank you @Cardofk. My experience of Wikipedia has not been a very nice one. I've had people delete articles without explanation, shout at me when I corrected their mistakes and tell me that things I write about aren't important. I can't tell you how nice it is for someone to be encouraging. Thank you. SandrinaHatman (talk) 13:24, 14 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your work on Peter Hammond (priest); I've marked it as reviewed. Sorry you've been previously discouraged—Wikipedia can be rough sometimes. Quick tip: you can reuse references by using the name= parameter—I've done that on the article as an example—which saves space in the citation section. Ovinus (talk) 02:22, 15 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Oh thanks. I've learning as I go along and that one has escaped me. SandrinaHatman (talk) 10:14, 15 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
