If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:24, 19 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

A near miss edit

I have just had to make a supreme effort of self-control to hold myself back from renaming your account to "EditEditee0286" without any warning, just for the fun of it. Are you sure you want to leave such potentially provocative messages lying around? JBW (talk) Formerly JamesBWatson 12:32, 20 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Oops! Sorry for the confusion. I don’t edit my user page now and then. I have fixed the problem now. Rng0286 (talk) 23:39, 20 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Rollback granted edit

Hi Rng0286. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when using rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! ~TNT (she/they • talk) 00:01, 12 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Your recent Good Article nominations edit

Rng0286, in the past few days you have made two problematic GA nominations. The first, of Network 10 on August 14, was an article that had an active {{More citations needed}} template, a sure sign that the article did not meeting the GA criteria, since an article that needs more citations is one that is not adequately verified. It was quickfailed.

The second, The Simpsons, is currently a Featured Article, which means the article is better than a Good Article; FAs are the best of the best here on Wikipedia. Nominating for a lesser status is not appropriate, so the nomination was reverted.

The GA instructions are clear that people who have not made significant edits to an article they wish to nominate need to consult with those who are major contributors prior to nominating. As your only edit to either was a single, very minor edit, you should have first posted to the article talk pages to see whether those contributors felt the article was ready to be nominated—that it basically met the criteria—and not nominated unless there was a consensus that it was ready.

We appreciate your interest in GAs; please familiarize yourself with the process before you make any further nominations. Thank you very much. BlueMoonset (talk) 02:09, 16 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Pending changes reviewer granted edit

Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.

Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Kirby and the Forgotten Land edit

A tag has been placed on Draft:Kirby and the Forgotten Land requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

G7, didn't realize that it was already an article after requesting it to be undeleted. Fault on my part, not much I can do with it as a draft since the article is in a much better state

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 00:08, 22 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Disregard this, I requested it to be undeleted not knowing it was already an article and I can't do much with it as a draft. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 00:09, 22 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
Apparently if it's undeleted the page is still determined to have been created by someone else. Thanks for requesting it to be speedy deleted. I"m a bit unfamiliar with how undeletion works and this is definitely not a good way to get familiar with it; by making a mistake. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 01:03, 22 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Rules for Fools edit

I see that last year at Wikipedia:Rules for Fools, you applied the skew gimmick to the page not once, not twice, but at least five times [1][2][3][4][5]. You have now been reverted twice today for repeating the same thing [6][7]. Surely the joke must be old at this point. Please be aware that the policy on edit warring still applies on this day (see WP:DE#April Fools' Day as well as the text of the very page we are discussing).
