Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Reggie Olubunmi Atere. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Grayfell (talk) 08:02, 14 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Mani Lapussh moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Mani Lapussh, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:39, 23 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I've moved this back into drafts, because the referencing is not enough to either support the article contents (with much of the information unreferenced), or even to establish the notability of the subject. Please review the referencing guidelines for articles on living people at WP:BLP, as well as the general notability guideline at WP:GNG, and add such sources and citations as needed to bring this draft in line with those. Once you're ready, you can submit this for pre-publication review by clicking the blue 'submit' button. Thanks, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:42, 23 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Oh wow. I have no other account asides this, I do not use a VPN and I've never edited any content using another account or pretending to be someone else. Nor have I have someone else pretend to be me. Reggie Olubunmi Atere (talk) 22:10, 21 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I was blocked indefinitely for sock puppeting but I don't have any other account beyond this one. I haven't pretend to be someone else, used someone else's account or have someone pretend to be me. I read through the details of sockpuppeting and I honestly can't phantom why I was blocked for this reason.

I'm considering the possibility of IP address, I sometimes edit via my phone and I use my mobile network providers internet access could that have contributed to this?

Genuinely, I haven't ever pretended to be someone else, use a different account or try to be sneaky on here.

I look forward to a positive response. Thanks! Reggie Olubunmi Atere (talk) 22:37, 21 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

There is a clear overlap in edits between the two accounts. It may very well be that this is your only account, but that would just make this meat puppetry. 331dot (talk) 08:20, 22 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Please, which account are you referring to?

Honestly, I'm reading again the meaning of sock puppetry and meat puppetry and I'm surprised I could be caught in the midst of this. I've no family member, friend or relative with me, using my account or pretending to be me.

I created my profile with my actual name, no other account has been created after for any reason. I have never edited with another profile or as another person or have another profile pretend to be me.

Truly, I'm confused as how I became flagged for this and I've no idea what to do to prove my innocence.

Can you please give me a pointer, screenshot, link, details as to how I came to be referred to as a sock/meat puppeteer. So I can see how to resolve/prove I'm not one. Thanks. Reggie Olubunmi Atere (talk) 13:30, 28 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of File:Emmanuel Iren in church 2022.jpeg

edit

The file File:Emmanuel Iren in church 2022.jpeg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Uploaded for Emmanuel Iren. No other use.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
