A favour

Looking through the list of Adopters, I saw your name, and realized that you might really be able to help a user. User:Davebrayfb apparently really wants to help the project, but right now cannot recognize how or why his edits have been problematic. Although I hate "forced adoptions", this is one of those needed cases. Could you review his edits, his talkpage, and perhaps consider adopting him? I added the "I want adoption" template to his userpage on his behalf. I suppose the best thing would be to let him know on his talkpage, and then perhaps he can become unblocked once you have set/agreed on the adoption ground rules. Cheers. {{Help}}

Hello Rcsprinter123, thanks for ur response. When I contributed a little bit change "He is known for his straightforward approach" on Mohan Babu page, it has been deleted and I got a msg from cluebot sying it is a vandalism. I didn't find anything vandalising anyone. What's wrong with it and I want to add a unique feature of Mr.Mohan Babu on his page. Plese help me, thanks! And one thing I would like to say is it would be better if some editors should not link everything with vandalism. EshwarRaaja (talk) 15:43, 3 November 2012 (UTC)

Some bubble tea for you!

Re:Adoption

Absolutely. I would love to be adopted by you. How exaclt does the adoption process proceed? [First question -How exactly to put that talkback option?] TheOriginalSoni (talk) 04:02, 3 November 2012 (UTC)

Great! That's really good news. To deliver a talkback, you can simply add {{subst:talkback|Username}} in a new section on somebody's talk page. I use a script called Twinkle which helps with a lot of simple little edits. I just click a button on your talkpage and it edits the page to deliver it for me. Do you have twinkle? If not, you can enable it in your preferences and you'll be amazed how much you don't have to do yourself. Regarding adoption, I guide you through a series of lessons and tests, and at the end you get "graduation". Does that sound good? Rcsprinter (post) @ 12:52, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for the advice on twinkle. It will greatly solve many of my problems.
Perfectly. How and when do we start? TheOriginalSoni (talk) 11:22, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
We can start as soon as I have five minutes to set it up, I'm very busy right at the moment. I'll give you your own page where the adoption will be based, and we'll work through the lessons from there. Sorry for the delays! Rcsprinter (state the obvious) @ 20:08, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
Alright. Do leave a message on my talk page when u r done. Do u know if WP has any pages specifically for newcomers, listing everything that can be done, and needs to be done? TheOriginalSoni (talk) 21:01, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
It's at User:Rcsprinter123/Adopt/TheOriginalSoni. Post any further queries there. Rcsprinter (warn) @ 19:47, 9 November 2012 (UTC)

{{Help}}

Hello Rcsprinter123. I'd be interested in being adopted by you. I'm just two days old in Wikipedia and, frankly, I feel myself in slippery ground.My primary field of interest is Landscape (theoretical aspects of) and, particularly, Landscape Appreciation and Criticism. I just created my User Page but left it empty because I'm puzzled by the Templates offered. Need help there. I thought of starting in Landscape:Talk before attempting to write any articles.

Could you find sometime to guide me through the labyrinth? User: Landscapnik --Landscapnik (talk) 22:10, 7 November 2012 (UTC)

No idea why the above message appeared as a single long line --Landscapnik (talk) 22:15, 7 November 2012 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) It appeared in a long line because you left a space prior to beginning to type. Just start typing all the way to the left. I fixed it for you. Go Phightins! 22:18, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
Hi Landscapnik, and thanks Phightins for fixing that. I see that you are indeed rather new to the project, two days already. I must say, that's better than some people who create an account to make one edit and never come back to it.   Even though I've been here almost two and a half years, I'm still new in some ways too! I would be delighted to adopt you; a quick look at your contributions shows that you are interested in Landscaping, as your message above and username also suggest. Why not see what articles can be created to do with it, share your knowledge with the world? One thing I must tell you is I'm not generally available to do big interactions during the week - if you try and contact me at the weekends that would be better. I will set you up a page in the adoption centre soon as I can; in the meanwhile, try and get contributing to articles. How did you come across the Wikipedia Adopt-a-User scheme? Regards, Rcsprinter (converse) @ 17:44, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
You can now find the page at User:Rcsprinter123/Adopt/Landscapnik. Post any further queries there. Rcsprinter (warn) @ 19:47, 9 November 2012 (UTC)

Working on articles

Please consider placing a {{inuse}} tag at the top of an article if you're working on it. Otherwise when people find it during NPP it just looks like another unremarkable application with no supporting references to assert notability. §FreeRangeFrog 22:16, 17 November 2012 (UTC)

Maybe. Rcsprinter (deliver) @ 22:17, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
What does that mean? §FreeRangeFrog 22:24, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
Ill just expand it in a while. For now, I'm not bothered putting more tags there. I will add sources to assert its notability. Rcsprinter (orate) @ 22:28, 17 November 2012 (UTC)

Disambig contest updates.

Greetings! Thanks for your work on disambiguation links. Please note that when updating the monthly contest page, the count is supposed to reflect the number of links fixed, not the number of disambiguation pages for which links have been fixed. Since the pages that you noted had 23 and 29 incoming links, respectively, the update number should have been 52, instead of 2. Cheers! bd2412 T 02:26, 24 November 2012 (UTC)

Terribly sorry, I never thought to realise. In future, I'll remember that when updating it. Regards, Rcsprinter (talk) @ 12:42, 24 November 2012 (UTC)

Done

FYI- I'm done with the final exam. I figured you already knew this, but just a heads up; you can start grading at your leisure. Go Phightins! 02:39, 24 November 2012 (UTC)

That's great, thank you! I just felt I might as well wait until Saturday (today) before starting to mark because I've got time. In fact, an empty day. And you know, the test is merveilleux too. You've been a good adoptee. Rcsprinter (message) @ 12:41, 24 November 2012 (UTC)
On a different note, do you mind if I steal/modify your userpage header? Go Phightins! 03:54, 25 November 2012 (UTC)
Not at all. Rcsprinter (deliver) @ 11:36, 25 November 2012 (UTC)
OK, great! Well, the Go Phightins! adoption course has gotten started a little faster than I expected, but I think I can handle it. Thanks again for all of your help. Go Phightins! 13:17, 25 November 2012 (UTC)

GAs?

Hey Rcsprinter123. Been long since came across you...hows everything there? LNER Class A3 4472 Flying Scotsman I think that it isn't at GA yet and I'd have never passed it in its current state. Its really not your fault but of the reviewer's. However, I saw your name on GAN and I opened both of your articles and I see pretty big issues. Lothian_Buses is almost close to a quick fail due to reasons that almost half of the article is unsourced and the article has numerous MoS fixes to be done. Slug seems to be a bit incomplete with merely 9K words of prose and thus I don't feel it'll pass. At slug, you can fix the issues by adding 10K more words of prose, which is well sourced (I really cannot help there as I don't know anything about the subject). However, at Lothian Buses, I think I can help out. According to GA, every line in the article should have at least one reliable source (that is why you were lucky with LNER to pass out). I'll leave addition of sources to Lothian Buses to you but I'll be doing an overhaul at LB article today. I hope you won't mind my changes. Cheers! TheSpecialUser TSU 07:23, 25 November 2012 (UTC)

Slug

Hello Rcsprinter. At WikiProject Gastropods we were very surprised to see that Slug had been nominated for GA, because we thought it was not so very good at all yet (we had it as C class). It is going to be a great scramble to try to get it up to GA and we may not manage to succeed with it. Perhaps you did not realize that our project was responsible for that article? Thanks for the compliment n that you thought it was pretty good, but next time would you please try to let us know before you nominate a gastropod article for GA, if you possibly can? Thanks Rcs, Best wishes, Invertzoo (talk) 01:04, 7 December 2012 (UTC)

Y'alright, I will. Rcsprinter (state) @ 17:01, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
