Welcome! edit

Hi Raeshouse, and welcome to Wikipedia! I've written some advice on editing here for students in Prof. Jackson's similar classes at Longy School of Music which you might find helpful. You'll find it here. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page (User talk:Voceditenore), or place {{helpme}} here on your talk page, ask your question, and another editor will come along to help. When you leave a message here or on any other talk page, be sure to sign it by typing ~~~~ (4 tildes with no spaces between them) at the end. When you click save, the Wikipedia software will automatically convert that show your user name and your talk page (with links to them) as well as the date and time when you signed. WP:SIGN has more about all the ins and outs of that.

You might also be interested in WikiProject Classical music and WikiProject Composers. They have various guidelines for articles in this area and talk pages where you can ask advice from editors experienced in writing articles on classical music and related subjects. You'll find these guides particularly useful: WikiProject Composers: Guide to online research and WikiProject Composers: Copyright guidelines. Advice on Draft:Petals (music) edit

Hi Raeshouse. This is definitely a notable subject. I have added to the lead to establish this and made several other tweaks. I've also formatted your refs with names so that they can be repeated/added where necessary. Note that each section requires at least one inline citation. I won't be able to accept this until the reference placement is improved. Example of how to do this:

<ref name = "Guinane">{{cite web |last1=Guinane |first1=David |title=Saariaho's Petals |url=https://www.rhinegold.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/MT0818-scheme-KS5-Saariahos-Petals.pdf |publisher=Rhinegold}}</ref>

The above citation appears in the lead. When you want to use it again to reference something in one or more of the later sections, simply add:

<ref name = "Guinane" />

to the end of the section or sentence. Hope this helps, Voceditenore (talk) 11:36, 1 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Dear Voceditenore,
Thank you for your wonderful help! Your creation and naming of the references was very useful. I added/repeated refs where necessary to support my research and made sure to have a minimum of 1 inline citation per section. Should I resubmit the article? Let me know if I can do anything else to improve it.
Regards, --Raeshouse (talk) 04:22, 7 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
