Working with deleted pages edit

I want to start some articles which were deleted. I think i can improve them and make them live along with powerful references. I think some articles which were deleted were of some use. Prakashpanwar (talk) 18:27, 11 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Try reading the page Wikipedia:Why was my page deleted?. Even though it is aimed at the authors of deleted pages, the advice and actions there are what you need. -- John of Reading (talk) 19:41, 11 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Gora Dhay edit

The article Gora Dhay has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No historical sources mentions such dhay. She is very a likely fictional character, which was created in recent times, owing to politics. All three sources are regional newspapers, not a single WP:RS for historical claims. Neither google books gives a single hit on term Gora Dhay, no mention of any such Dhay in any of the historical sources

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Response of the editor: I am logging in after much time on WP. As I can see the page has not been deleted and also relevant info supplemented to the article by fellow editors, I can very well conclude that the nomination for deletion by the person was perfectly a mistake. Anyways I am making it clear that I have NO INTEREST in the articles I create, except the fact that I write articles on those topic, which are not present on WP and which are suitable topics to be included. Thanks, --Prakashpanwar (talk) 19:31, 5 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Biba Singh until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. Response of the editor: As the notability criteria was discussed by the genius administrators, reviewers, senior editors on WP. I accept the deletion of the page, as the criteria of deletion was met as a result. Thanks, --Prakashpanwar (talk) 19:27, 5 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia and copyright edit

Hello Prakashpanwar! Your additions to Excel Realty N Infra Ltd have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 20:48, 4 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Response of the editor: As someone who is not that experienced while editing on Wikipedia, I am thankful to the editors/administrators for pointing this out. The same content which was copied was freely available on many sources and that's why the same was interpreted to be "fair use" material by me. Anyways, Thanks for pointing out the same. I will take care of it in the future. Thanks Prakashpanwar (talk) 15:33, 5 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Excel Realty N Infra Ltd moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Excel Realty N Infra Ltd, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 13:14, 10 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
