February 2020 edit

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Elvis Presley; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. - FlightTime Phone (open channel) 04:17, 15 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

@FlightTimePhone: Are you trying to troll me? I’m not sure if English is your first language or not, but the word ‘also’ means ‘in addition’ which means an ‘extra person or thing’. There is nothing ‘extra’ about someone’s given name. Quite clearly the right word choice is ‘often’ because that means frequently and Elvis is frequently referred to by his first name.--Nature987765 (talk) 04:22, 15 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • Warning @Nature987765: I will leave other admins to handle the above report. However, I am responding to a request at WP:RFPP to protect Elvis Presley and am warning you that you will be blocked if you make another change to the "also known as" text at that article without first gaining clear consensus on talk.
