Your query

edit

In response to your query that you've posted on a number of talkpages, I've chosen one largely at random and replied at Talk:Kinesaki class food ship. In future please address comments like this to the person you are questioning on their talkpage. There is the risk that comments on article talkpages may not be read by the person you are addressing, and posting the same query on multiple pages is unneccessary and redundant. Thanks, Benea (talk) 11:31, 28 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hiburi, Daitō and Shōnan.

edit

Hello Mystia Lorelei, first I'd like to congratulate you for your work on the articles about the Japanese warships, they are very interesting. I have a question about the escorts Hiburi, Daitō and Shōnan: were they a separe Hiburi class? I'm asking you this because in most english language books they are listed as a part of the Ukuru class. Loosmark (talk) 18:54, 8 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • Following escort ships were classified to the Mikura class escort ship in the IJN's official documents. Hiburi, Daitō, Kume, Ikuna, Shisaka, Sakito, Mokuto, Habuto, Ōtsu (not completed) and Tomoshiri (not completed). The Hiburi class was sub type of the Mikura class. I made new contents, and please read it. Hiburi class escort ship --Mystia Lorelei (talk) 06:59, 9 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
I read the article and now it's clear. Thank you. Loosmark (talk) 14:54, 9 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

IJN Awazisan Maru

edit

Can you advise what the correct spelling is for article IJN Awazisan Maru, if you can help? I believe that the article should be named Awajisan Maru as the ship was a private freighter prior to be commisioned into the Imperial Japanese Navy. Any comments? --Newm30 (talk) 02:36, 16 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yūgumo class destroyer

edit

Hi! I've found you as an author of this editation. Can you add some citations to 12.7mm machinegun on board Naganami as prize of war from USS Darter? Thanks and bye ^_^ --Sceadugenga (talk) 13:48, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • The IJN which knew that USS Darter ran aground at Palawan, and dispatched destroyer Naganami and torpedo boat Hiyodori. Naganami officer was going to get her equipments and codebook. However, they failed in it. They stripped off a 13 mm AAG (record of Japanese side) from USS Darter and made it their war trophies. And it was installed in the starboard of a mizenmast. Hi. When you recently edited Imperial Japanese Navy ship classifications, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Minesweeper (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Better source request for some of your uploads

edit

Thanks for your uploads to Wikipedia. There is an issue with some of them, specifically:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the images because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the images, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image files themselves. Please update the image descriptions with URLs that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 21:24, 22 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:Tensya Maru No.3-1960.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Tensya Maru No.3-1960.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 01:36, 13 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Upload of old images of IJA and IJN

edit

Hi Mystia Lorelei,

I noticed you tried to upload images concerning IJA and IJN. Unfortunately several of your uploads were deleted on Wiki Commons – that's a pity. This happened to me, too with my first images of IJA, which I tried to upload. Meantime I have uploaded successfully many images of IJN and IJA to Wiki Commons, see here: A pretty good, and secure, way to upload images which very likely won't be deleted is this: When you upload your image on Wiki-Commons do this.

  1. Check "This file is not my own work."
  2. Source: paste the link where you found the image
  3. Author: write either "Imperial Japanese Army" or "Imperial Japanese Navy"
  4. Then choose "Another reason not mentioned above"
  5. There you write "{{PD-Japan-old}}" (Please take a closer at the sourcecode: you don't have to write the "Template:", just what's coming after the ":". Also have "{{" and "}}" in front and after "PD-Japan-old")
  6. Then click on "Next"
  7. Add the description and you are done.

Now your image can't be deleted because it's under Japanese old picture licence.

Good luck, Regards, --Chris.w.braun (talk) 18:15, 22 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. File source problem with File:IJA Eikai Maru-under construction.jpg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:IJA Eikai Maru-under construction.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
