Leeds New Lane

Thanks for the expansion, it's quite appreciated. I only had time to read the plan document a little bit and add coordinates before giving up on ground of tiredness. Point of interest: was their railway infrastructure on or near the site previously? There's infrastructure visible in the undergrowth just south of Crown Point retail part. There was railway infrasturcture at the adjacent Crown Point site. However as I undertstand it, the current site is at New Lane which is seperated from the Crown Point site by the Meadow Lane gas works (now known as Pottery Fields). In and around this there is track visable in the roads, but to my knowledge this was for bringing coal to the gas works and didn't come close to the New Lane site. By the way, with regards to the map, this page seems to indicate that the pedestrian walkway will feed right into the new Granary Wharf entrance when New Lane opens. Currently looking at the gov.uk documents to see if that's reflected there... Sceptre ^(talk) 15:59, 31 January 2013 (UTC)

Update: the plan for the New Lane approach indicates the walkway will enter the station over the river, on the very western edge of the railway shed, which is also where the Granary Wharf entrance will be. Sceptre ^(talk) 16:06, 31 January 2013 (UTC)

John Le Mesurier

Hello and thank you for your edits to the above article. Unfortunately, I have had to revert them as the links you added appear to break the overlinking guidelines. It is usual for a link to be given on its first mention only and not for it to be either given on its later mentions or on every mention from then on. I agree somewhat, however it goes against the MOS and I think we should stick to the guidelines like glue seeing as the article is featured. As far as I can see, it offers no exceptions within the rule to repeat the link again. -- Cassianto^Talk 17:00, 31 March 2013 (UTC)

Excalibur estate

Hi. A while back you put out a request for pics of the Excalibur estate in Catford. As I said at the time, I don't get out that way very often but I took a few pics a fortnight ago. The weather and time of day weren't in my favour, but I've uploaded a general view and the church which hopefully should do you. Aside from more pics of prefabs (many of which have now been boarded up and looking rather sad) I guess the only other building of interest is the office which has a map outside it; let me know if you want those uploading, they're not very interesting but I suppose might be useful if you were doing an entire article about the estate. Interesting corner of London, so thanks for the prod to go and see it even if it's not exactly on the regular tourist trail. Le Deluge (talk) 15:12, 1 April 2013 (UTC)

Modification of spellings in contraditcion to WP:ENGVAR specifically WP:RETAIN and WP:CONSISTENCY

Hi, I noticed you've been moving a bunch of articles and respeling words with articles with the reason "More approriate English for a European based article" That dosn't fall under "An article on a topic that has strong ties to a particular English-speaking nation should use the English of that nation. ", I feel you are violating "When an English variety's consistent usage has been established in an article, it is maintained in the absence of consensus to the contrary. With few exceptions (e.g. when a topic has strong national ties or a term/spelling carries less ambiguity), there is no valid reason for such a change."(emphasis mine). Please stop changing spellings for articles about Europe (Emergency Fighter Program, List of programs broadcast by TV 2 (Norway), Heinkel He 162, ‎ Heinkel He 280 and others) without a valid reason. In a recent edit, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.
